Re: Respraying 2 days after

My problem with JMT is it has a strong smell to it (I think it was coconut but I can't remember for sure, not bad but you smell it) and my husband did not like walking around smelling like that and I don't want scent in my solution because I have sensitive skin.
so that's why I use Sjolie over JMT.

@ Michael. I use sluff wipes before I spray with Sjolie. I get great results! No complaints here.

Most of all my clients with fair skin want to be darker than just sun kissed. I mix my solutions but lately I've been using 12% on them and could get away with spraying them 1 time.

I use their 9% and 12% (have not tried the 6%). 9 has been good even on really fair clients, the colour is sooo bronze , not orange or yellow at all. Price is reasonable and customer service is fabulous. My only complaint is that I have had clients of all ages get the "alligator" affect on their shins even when I apply SJOLIE PH Balancing spray. Also, regardless of after care, the tan only lasts about 5 days.

JMT is pricier but good. The solution smells great and goes on with an even lighter feather mist than SJOLIE. Colour is fabulous. I have used all three shades. The lightest one (can't remember the DHA %?? is perfect for fair skin types. Not too light so the client still feels TAN not just "sun kissed":). Clients don't seem to get the alligator affect as much. Product smells great, too. Tan lasts longer. Good customer service as well, just a bit pricey.
How do you decide which solution to use on each client?
Which solution do your clients prefer?

I have not tried SJolie. I have heard mixed reviews about it (as with all solutions I'm sure) and I'm very happy with JMT. Not many companies offer as many choices as JMT, are as knowledgeable about their their products, and respond so quickly when you have questions. I've talked to several companies who can't even tell me their ingredients on the phone and some didn't even know what DHA percentages they offered! Mandy is very knowledgeable and always there if you need her. Prices are reasonable and you get a great product. With three different levels of DHA, being able to mix and match any of those to create a custom look for each client is key. Not too many people offer an 8% and you will get clients who want just a glow versus a deeper, golden tan who are VERY pale. In that case, a 9% might be too much and you may be the only person who has 8% to use and can gain another valuable client that no one else would have been able to. It's a great color from the 8 to the 12...another thing I found hard to find with other solutions. The standard looked good but the other levels were tough to gauge and sometimes did not come out right.

I used Southseas before and it was very tough as they only offered a 9%, at least at the time, and it was too dark for some and not dark enough for others. Having three different, very distinctive levels of DHA with JMT allows for the most flexibility in making your own levels from 8-12%...why wouldn't you want those choices?
