Rep Power: 0 | To charge or not to charge? I provide the disposable underwear for no charge and the Ph Balance spray. I don't charge for the spray because I am so impressed with the outcome that I don't want anyone walking out without it, that being said... the underwear, PH Spray and sometimes spa sandals when your stubborn clients wear boots starts to add up. What should I be charging for. Been at this for 4 years and starting to think I should be charging a $1.00 for the panties and $1.00 for the spray and sandals. Give me some honest feedback. Is it just my job as a good spray tanner to be providing these items or not? |

If I were you I would let those people continue to not pay, but any new clients you take on would have to pay extra for those things. However, that just make things complicated depending on how much you want to keep track of that kind of stuff. But I definitely agree that you should start charging for those things. They really add up. Plus, gas is super expensive right now. Between that and giving them all of those add-ons for free, that really cuts into profits. Not to mention, they are SAVING on gas not having to drive to their appointment....actually I just realized I was assuming that you are mobile, but you might not be. LOL. I think I will just leave it at that! I think you get my point anyway! |

I think prep spray is something we as the professional feel is necessary to help us make sure the tan will come out well reguardless of what the client has done so I provide that free. I also give them the nose filters at no extra cost, it's a safety thing that should be proveded BUT I absolutely charge for the disposable bra/underwear at $1.00 ea. - I wanted to include it but it adds up, they have other options as to what they wear but they don't have nose filters and prep spray laying around their house. Right now I don't offer any sandals but I would probably charge for them as long as you are clear about the proper foot wear before their appointment. You could give away sandals one time if they wear the wrong shoes but after that then you charge?! |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: To charge or not to charge? The roll of contact paper is 18 inches wide, and 75 feet long. I cut out 6x11 rectangles. So I get three pieces across. (The roll will make over 200 pieces.) I just leave them as rectangles. Each client sticks one new piece on the bottom of each foot prior to each spray. My room is laminate flooring, and then the black mat. I lay a towel on the mat where the client stands, but if they walk around the room, or on the mat on a busy day, the bottoms of their feet will be bad! I tell them not to walk around barefoot, and to stick "one of these" on the bottom of each foot as soon as they take their shoes off. Then they throw them away when they're finished. |
