Re: How Often do you tan?

I have been trying to tan once a week as well. But, my tan isn't completely gone after 7 days. When I sprayed myself before it was completely off it ended up fading very uneven, especially around my wrists, hands, arms, and ankles. How are you guys avoiding this from happening? I do exfoliate, however it just doesn't take it all off.

Re: How Often do you tan?

I know what you mean hollywud. I end up getting build up eventually on places like around my wrists and ankles. After 2 or 3 weeks of it building up I usually have to just let most of my tan come all the way off before I re-spray again...which I do not like because then I feel like I can't go out anywhere because during this time I look like a freak! I have not been a big fan of barrier cream, but I am thinking of using it on the places where I tend to get dha build-up so that I don't have that problem anymore. I know that that will make a huge difference, I have just been too lazy to do that step for myself. Oh, and by the way I also exfoliate quite a bit, especially in those areas, so I know that the problem isn't because of a lack of exfoliation.

That happens from time to time and it all depends on your skin. My tan isn't usually faded completely either and if there is a spot that is built up a little I actually gently rub it just after showering and it almost rolls right off. And when i say gently, GENTLY! And it's usually only a two minute window before i have to rub harder and don't want to damage skin. I rub gently enough until it is faded from the tan to the white as evenly as possible. If i need to do this (every 5-6 weeks sometimes), then i do it the day of or before I'm going to tan again. I also do not recommend this for any clients until they are a little more seasoned tanners because it can definitely result in streaking but helps me keep a great looking tan.

About every 10 days or so.

Re: How Often do you tan?

Thanks! It's good to know I'm not the only one this happens to. I am going to purchase a Baiden mitten to try to exfoliate better. We will see if it works!

Re: How Often do you tan?

Hollywud, please tell me how the baiden mitt works out! I have been sooo curious about them but I haven't gotten up the courage to order something that is that expensive for what seems to just be an ordinary cloth. I would really appreciate it if you keep me posted!
