Mixing Solutions

When I mix an 8% and a 10% or a 10% and 12% solution can I save it inside of the cup, sealed for a few days or must it be thrown out? Also if anyone else is using Jamaican Me Tan, what solution are you using on most for your clients? It seems not many of mine have the skin color to pull off 12%. Thanks!

Re: Mixing Solutions

Yes you can save it in a sealed cup :-) I use JMT. I would say highest amount I use is of Ocho Rios, followed by Montego Bay or a mixture of Ocho Rios/Montego Bay seem to be popular as well. I do have clients who like the Treasure Bay but not as many as the others b/c most want more color. It just depends on your clients however, you may have lighter skinned clients & end up using more TB.

Re: Mixing Solutions

Thank you. I received all my supplies & LVCLP last week and can't seem to put it down. I have been practicing on as many skin types as I can and I didn't want to throw away my mixes. The two girls I did in the 11 were already pretty tan but seemed a bit orange to me the day after the spray. Everyone else I sprayed looked great in 10% or less. That's why I was wondering what type of skin uses Montego Bay. I'm hesitant to try it. (newbie jitters) Do you use a PH balancer w/ JMT solution . I was told it wasn't necessary, that it was built in, but I always error on the side of caution. Thanks for responding.

Re: Mixing Solutions

I haven't needed a PH balancer with the JMT solution . Someone who has skin that tans easily in the sun is the best candidate for the Montego Bay. It sounds like you will find what works for your clients & are taking all the right steps :-) They do have an exfoliating body spray you can use, I have had good results with that, or I have read there are towels with PH balancer in the towels on other sites, but have never tried them. Good Luck!
