I used Norvell for the longest. Always achieving great results not to mention its pleasant smell. The only reason I switched to Sjolie is because is less expensive. You don't get the pleasant smell but it doesn't smell bad either, clients don't complain about this and the final results are very similar. Never sticky or orange. If you are getting the orange and stickiness is not the solution is you not using the right technique.

What do you mean by two day session? And which shade(s) did you use??

I only had one customer complain of slight orange tinge on his face...I'm wondering if it had something to do with his red undertones on his skin OR was it because 9% DHA was just too much for him? Or is it a possibility two light coats on his face was just too much?

Orange is usually caused by too much DHA for skin type or too much solution sprayed. Technique only plays into it with using too much.

my client is a skin type 1 which means as pale as they come, so i used a 10 percent sjolie solution , 2 passes throughout entire body. if you try to go too dark too fast, will be orange, that skin type cannot handle that dark of solution . second day i used 12 percent sjolie solution , 2 passes as well.. her face i only did with 10 percent 2 passes , that is enough for the face since it's already readily moisturized it takes and holds color faster. hands and feet i do the same. i tell my customers with hands and feet to use a sunless tanning lotion to control the darkness of they're own feet, i don't want to be responsible if they come out crummy looking. especially for pageants.
so two days 10 percent second day 12 percent - two passes for each day. face, hands and feet 10 percent, only one day.. looks great as you can tell from my profile pic's..
