Unhappy Customer touched her face...

I had a small group last night all get sprayed. After I sprayed one of the ladies who was VERY pale, she went into the bathroom and *smeared* her forehead and chest area.....what is the best way to correct this? The bronzer turned into a smeary mess and ruined the even tan I had given her. Should I of wiped it off with something and resprayed her entire chest/face? I accidentley sprayed a bit too much on her back shoulder area and it was way darker then the rest of her back...how should I of corrected this? They all loved the way they looked but it was killing me to see mistakes!! I am still learning so thanks in advance for any advice!

Re: Customer touched her face...

I have a small paint roller that use if I accidently overspray an area or if they touch themselves and smeared it. If it's on the face I usually just wipe it off and respray.

Re: Customer touched her face...

if the solution is still wet enough, you can use a large face/body brush (like a powder brush) to blend...this is also super helpful if you get "runs" during spraying. I always carry one with me and wash at night. I just mixed up a batch of dusting powder, and plan to use the same brush for that...I just keep forgetting I've made my powder, so haven't tried it out yet!

if it's not wet enough, I've had clients just rub lotion in to distribute. (this happened when a lady I sprayed didn't dry off long enough and she put her sweatshirt back on...she had a white ring around her neck and she just spread lotion on about 20 minutes after spraying and the next day you couldn't even tell there had ever been an issue!)

Hope that helps!

Re: Customer touched her face...

My client uses Aveeno. She was able to blend her "white spot" after she got home that way...it was the same night we sprayed, but I'm not sure how long afterwards, so it must have spread the solution just enough....

Re: Customer touched her face...

What if you spray someone, and the next day they have a white spot in between their eyes? Im assuming my client got wet or touched it too soon, How would I go about filling in that spot without making the whole face darker(spot lighter) Im just starting off and learning as I go and I appreciate any and all advice! :)

Re: Customer touched her face...

SpraySTS,

I'm not sure there is a great way for you to fix that. If I ran into that, I'd probably suggest exfoliating as best you can with either PharmTan's Optimize (highest fruit acid/natural exfoliator you can buy over the counter). It's pretty hard core, but it works well without pulling too hard on your delicate skin....it does have an intense tingle which is why I'm calling it hard core. After that, you can respray the face and most likely get more even. Even a small little splash of water (easy to do on accident) can make a white mark on a fresh spray tan , so avoid any water situations like the plague (dishes, or anyone nearby doing dishes that can splash, washing hands/face, cleaning up an area even if they use gloves, etc.)

Another way to handle it if they don't want to try and exfoliate the whole face is to suggest a bronzer to take care of the spot from a cosmetic standpoint. When they wash off their makeup, it will obviously still be white, but your face will fade fastest anyway because of washing off cosmetics. My guess is it wouldn't be that noticeable after three or so days and it would blend with their normal makeup after that...

Hope that helps.
