Anyone customize solutions from customer to customer?

Does anyone add ingredients (by customer request) in order to personalize each person's treatment? For example, do you add to the solution anything like matrixyl, glimmer drops, scents, extra moisturizing ingredients, etc.? If you add scents, do you use scented fragrance oil or scented essential oil?

Re: Anyone customize solutions from customer to customer?

Hi Kristi! I also custom mix each and every clients solution, but not with the things you are referring to. I mix % to provide a customized tan, not the glittery, scented, moisturizer kinda additives. Im sure they are nice to have and use... just havnt done research into how they affect the tan outcome. I would think oils/moisturizers could have a negative effect on the absorbsion of solution?? Scents are usually too overwelming to me so i have stayed away from them. My dusting powder has glitter already in it so im good there!
Have you found by adding these that your business has increased??? I would intertain the idea of adding extras if it added to the overall performance of the tan. Tell me about your experences with additives?? Have a good day!!

I would not say my business has dramatically increased, but it keeps them coming back. I also don't have to order as many different types of solutions. If someone wants no smell, that's my base. If they want scent, I have that. There's a $10 upgrade for my anti-aging solution, which is where I add the matrixyl and extra vitamins. That is popular with my middle-aged plus clientele, and the scents are popular with my younger clientele. So overall I would say it's nice to customize and up-sell, plus it gets the word out that I offer a slightly different service than others in my area so I would say it does help in the end. : )

The usage of scents relating to the younger crowd amkes sence. And the anti aging solution for the middle age makes sence as well. I've used the glitter bronzing powder for years and the women love it. The guys freak out as you can imagine. So i just air dry em with the HVLP hose. Thanks for the imput!!! Have a great day!!

Kristie22,
I have been trying to find the additives that you have been describing in a few of your post. Were do you find the anti aging additives? Sjolie has the organic, but not the matrixyl and extra vitamins. Also, the argon oil.

Thanks,
April
