Rep Power: 0 | Crazy with questions about start up... I know I've been going crazy with posts over the past couple of days - but this forum has been SO helpful... Thanks also -to those who have been willing to chat on the phone/email etc. regarding starting up this business. So - I'm getting ready to call Sjolie now. I am narrowing down between Sjolie, Sol Potion & Fantasy Tan at this point (it will all come down to solution /samples, I think. The customer service has all been GREAT). I still really want a one stop shop and want to find my perfect solution /customer service/product line that I am so confident about that I can back it up 2,000% and use them exclusively...Thus, I am anxious to compare all aspects after I get these samples. Also, it looks like the mobile units for Sjolie & Sol Potion are the same (Apollo Mini-Myst & Zephyr Mini)...anyone have any feedback on these for mobile use/start up? I have spoken with a few people who really are happy with these for low volume (weddings etc. - which I plan to focus on initially). However, I'm wondering why Sjolie is less expensive for the unit. Just competition, I suppose? Also, has anyone heard of outsourced/individual or group training in the Midwest? I am just researching ALL of my options in case I don't go w/a CO. that offers it....suggestions? I am willing to travel. THANK YOU! |

Jfrizz, i got SJolie tent, very happy with their prices, service, etc., their solution ... olive color right after spray is holding me back a bit at this moment... but it's a nice brown color next day. I don't know about their spray machines.... I also think that you can do without training. All companies where i order my solutions, are very helpful with any questions you might have. I think the best training is: read everything on the net and do free spray tan yourself and you will be good to go. That's what i did. I am by Columbia MO and was ready to go to IA for big $ till i learned that she was gonna tell me how to make FB page and web which already was done by me... sooo, i would say, don't spent even more $, go do it, you will be fine! Get pre tan spray too, seems like it's helps to my clients, make them feel special also... :) Good luck! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Crazy with questions about start up... Thanks so much, Arina! Your suggestions & feedback was woderful. It helps to hear such optimism as I move forward with this business! So far, I have loved BOTH Sol Potion and SJolie solutions. I tend to start with the lighter solutions (6-9%'s) and my sprays have turned out beautifully on my fair clients. I have several more people lined up and I'm excited to try some of the darker solutions. Notes: So far, I have found that lighting is key. Thus, I'm weary about a pop up tent being too dark. Suggestions? Also, does anyone have any suggestions about a mobile lighting system? I just purchased some clamp, swivel lights and they are working but would prefer something more convenient. Also, The sample bottles are working fabulously for travel purposes. On that note, I found a PERFECT travel case at Target to hold my Apollo mini & all of my supplies. It safely buckles everything in so that the equipment stays in place. Further, there is a pouch in the middle that is absolutely perfect for holding the solutions. Additionally, there are little mesh pockets that I use to hold my dusting powder, brushes, wipes, sprays, headbands etc. etc. My suitcase is a hardcase & is b/w polka dot. It's so cute & I'm ordering a large sticker w/my logo to adhere to the front of the case. I'm LOVING! =) Arina, when you say "pre-spray" tan...do you mean the Ph Spray? Also, does anyone know of a "spray moisturizer " or "spray barrier cream" that I can use to look more professional than rubbing a barrier cream on manually? Again, thank you so much - everyone has been so helpful! =) JF |

I had a client who broguth her daughter for spray and decided she wants it too and it turned out great! Even she did not prepare her skin. Pre tan did the job. I do use barrier cream for sure from day #1, hats... Got to check Target (thank you!) i need something like that. So far i did not go mobile too much, just do parties in my "office". Ppls dont want it in their house many times, and they "bring" their parties to my place. I am glad you enjoy it! It's a wonderful business! alot of fun! |

Solution .... u got to try bunch to see what u like. I do like SJolie, you will not get any orange color with them. Norwell is good, but their extra double dark will mark everything even after shower but the color outstanding for those who wants very very dark color like me, lol. don't forget barrier cream. :) Good luck! you will love it! |
