color advise DHA %

As I have stated before I am working for the first time with DHA %'s
I am used to the FT solutions that don't list the DHA levels. So I understand the 8% and under is for Very Fair 9-10% is for fair to medium and 11-12+% is for dark skin clients.

but my questions has to do with more detailed situations. I have a japanese/white client toinight that has been out enjoying the summer sun and has a GREAT tan (typically very light) but wants to try airbrush tanning for the first time. What would be a good blend for her? If I use a 9% will that do much or because of her tan will I use my 12% because she has a tan already? I absolutely do not want to put too much DHA on her skin. I was thinking about doing a 50/50 blend of the 9 and 12. WHat do think???

Re: color advise DHA %

I don't know what solution you are using. Even though a solution will have a certain percentage of DHA they all have different variations of color. I use Sol Potion. They have levels that go from 9% to 12%. The way their colors work is from yellow brown to a red brown. They taught me to blend my colors based on the client's skin tones and undertones. If she has more of a yellow undertone then I would airbrush her with a Sol Potion 10% because it is still a lighter shade but would blend better with her skin tone.

What solution are you using?

Re: color advise DHA %

I would do 12% if it were me. I use 12% on my husband who is a medium skin tone and it gives him a dark tan, so I think you'll be good with it if she already has a tan. IMO
