Sjolie Review

So I received my sample pack today from Sjolie and applied the 9% utilizing the carpad method.... I am a rookie in this at home abs application so hopefully it goes well...

I was a little disappointed with the customer service as they charged me twice for the sample pack...also I asked him a question regarding pre application soaps and never heard back from him....but I have read other good customer svcs reviews so maybe it was an off day...but honestly I was disappointed with it...

As for the product - So far (I will update tom morning with the color outcome)

-The smell is completely odorless which is fantastic.... I was completely shocked at how odorless it really is.... so that was good.

- No greasiness what so ever...this may be a general trait for ABS but I thought I would highlight it for other newbies...I sprayed the pad and applied it but also went over with my hands and it felt great....

Re: Sjolie Review

Hello Sinker,

I am sorry to disappoint you. The email you sent was addressed to me personally, which I was away since last email you sent. All immediate responses can be addressed via orders@sjolietanning.com or questions@sjolietanning.com

The Double charge was a Merchant side issue which they authorized once, and charged once. The authorized portion should of fallen off by now, but unfortunately this is a merchant/bank issue which we have no control over or associated with, this could happen with double clicks, or delay in internet response from the web server, this is a downfall for internet orders but minimal. You can always call us via phone to make sure this doesn't happen as we will process manually to avoid any chances.

As far as your description, you have applied it correctly via Carpad Method, Although if possible it is better for results via Spray Machine.

I truly am sorry for any delays getting back to you. We'll impress you in the future!

Re: Sjolie Review

I too just received my sample pack. Im new to airbrushing so I didnt attempt to spray myself. I used a cosmetics sponge and applied 9% to my face last night. Im very pleased with the results. Virtually no smell at all. The result is a nice even light brown tan. i will be doing a full body application this evening if I can get my husband to spray me. I will be using my maximist with this. I have marked my dial like hours on a clock. Can you suggest which setting would be optimal with this products viscosity?

Re: Sjolie Review

Sinker,
Have you considered using HVLP application! The majority if not all of our Sjolie reviews are based off of using some sort of airbrush or HVLP equipment. Alot of us have to experiment a couple of times with solutions before we get it right. Hope you find what your looking for! Goodluck :)

Luvinsunless- I also use SJolie with my maximist and I set it between the 6 & 7 oclock settings. I adjusted many times till I was very happy. My redhead clients get 6 & 9% mixed, my medium skin toned clients get 9% and if they want a little darker then I use 3/4 9& and 1/4 12%. I only use straight 12 on 2 clients. If you go to dark on fair skin clients then you will get a very un-natural look. My clients love the color!!! I am about to try the scent drops when I place my next order. Hope this helps

Thanks sooo much! That did help me alot! Its a bit overwhelming when you are first starting out, finding the right solution and the right machine and the right setting on your machine for your solution!!! Haha So far Im really liking the SJolie solutions. Quick drying, not sticky, virtually no smell on me which is awesome because usually DHA make me stink like crazy!

I did too in the beginning then I started adjust my pressure on the gun till I was spraying lighter coats. You will still feel a little tacky but I powder my clients to make them comfortable and about an hour later it feels perfect.

Re: Sjolie Review

What kind of powder do you use? It doesn't hurt the tan at all does it. I mixed Aviva and Sjolie the other night and loved it. The Aviva help with the drying of Sjloie but if powder works sweet.
