Taking Ownership Just a general remark. I have just dealt with person number 4 this month that was the "Victim" of a Mobile Tanning Spray disaster. Not that I can do much to fix them. But, in all 4 cases they called the individual that sprayed them and were basically told, "There is nothing I can do...sorry" or got no response at all. One was even accused by the 19 yr old "Craigslist Advertising Sprayer" that SHE must have botched it just to get her money back. After seeing her I cannot imagine ANYONE wanting to do something to look the way she did, JUST TO GET HER $12.00 back!...she was in TEARS because she was going to be in a wedding and my heart broke for her because she looked like she got in a fight with a bunch of muddy carrots and lost. If there is anyone out there that fits this "Customer Service Policy" for the love of all that is holy...why are you in this business or in business at all? If you lack training/experience...get it. If you botch a spray..take ownership. I suspect it really is nobody on this forum because most of the people I encounter here are reputable. But I had to vent. All I can do is tell these folks to seek a reputable sprayer and watch for the red flags. If the spray tan costs $12.00 than that says a lot right there. I actually gave them a coupon to come back and get a free spray tan from me so that they are NOT forever turned off by the experience.

One of the worst offenders is a salon i did spray tanning at a few years ago!!! When i left the salon because of a drunken owner, i was told that "they were going to continue spray tanning " !! My reply was " no, you are going to START offering spray tanning ". Needless to say with no prior training and using a Wagner power sprayer, (honest to god) the tans are absolutley a disaster!!! In Sept. of 2008 they started mobile tanning, it has really giving the public a bad sense of what spray tanning is all about!! If i could develope a tan remover in spray form i'd be knocking down some big $$$!! I know mobile tanning can be done well... but does not seem to be the case locally??? |

Re: Taking Ownership There are so many variables that walk in. But one thing is for sure, if the spray tan is light enough then it is easier to provide another coat to blend over the bad areas. This last girl was so horribly orange and had such a large amount of runs and streaks there was no hope except to spray her so dark she would have looked like an island native of Bali. I just gave her a recipe to make up at home and try her best to scrub most of it off. I was sooooo tempted to call the girl that sprayed her to have a chat with her.

Actually I think the real problem is that most humans have brain damage and for some reason are allowed to participate in daily reality routine. |
