I've tried many solutions over the years and one thing always holds true- you have a gross feeling until you shower. Not sure how to explain it, I just feel like I need a shower.

I have the same outcome. Sticky, Clammy call it whatever you want. People always feel nasty until they shower.

Re: Norvell solution

I think the neck area is a hard are to spray. You could be applying to much to that area. I know when I 1st started to spray I saw that I did over-spray that area. I take my gun off and use the hose to dry my clients....seems to help.

And Agreed ....you don't feel great until you shower! LOL

Re: Norvell solution

Do you all usually go over the client twice with the spray? That is what I'm doing but now I'm learning that I don't need to.

Thanks for all the great advice. I have an airbrush spray this Sunday and I will watch how much I'm spraying the chest area and try to back it off some.

Re: Norvell solution

I still say you need to try different solutions. I have never felt like that nor have any of my clients ever said they can't wait to shower.

Re: Norvell solution

I also use Norvell & I powder my clients after I dry with the air-hose and it helps with the tacky feeling. Helps keep the creases dry, it helps dry, smells great & they love it.

Re: Norvell solution

I have tried about 7 different solutions and drying time was a big part of the decision in what the best solution was for me. I have had clients who were trying spray tanning for the first time tell me before they got sprayed that if it is sticky and they feel like they can't get dressed comfortably after or feel like they can't touch anything after, they wouldn't do it again. I spray clients with one coat and then go over to touch up or add to certain areas and then I dry with my machine for a few minutes and then again with a blowdryer. All of my clients are dressed and feeling fine within 10 minutes. I have never used powder, although I have one heavier client that I may use it on the next time I spray her. I definitely don't feel gross and tacky for the 6 or so hours that I have to wait to take a shower. Not sure i would be able to deal with that!
