Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

I love sjolie's color but it is way to light. Even the 12% is very light..more light a medium to light in my opinion. I hope Michael you read some of the threads about people loving that your solution is brown but that it just isn't dark enough for people who like it really dark. I hope you listen to peoples comments about it NOT being dark enough. It would have been my holy grail if it was darker. But unfortunately until then I've been looking else where for a VERy dark true brown solution . If you change the formula a little to make it darker I will definitely come back and try it. I do have to say Michael you always have been a pleasure and kind...just please listen to what we are saying..we want it darker!!thanks for listening!!

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

I always listen, and do read comments about wanting it darker, more of this, more of that, etc.

We do try hard to hit everyones "Dream" solution , but as you could possibly understand from our point of view, what might be the perfect darkness, would in fact by TOO dark for another, or the other way around in your case.

We've never tried to be the "darker" solution , but always strive to be the "natural tan" solution .

I take your suggestion with excitement to one day have a perfect darkness for you, and to be honest, it might be an idea for a completely separate product line that we could develop for the "Must be dark" community that DOES exist.

We do know there is a need for a dark solution that provides consistency and longevity, but we are not there yet in our business plans.

To expand further poke around with your suggestion, are you suggesting the "color guide" or bronzer needs to be much darker? or the final product on the body after 24 hours, the tan itself that will last 7 days?

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

On a quick note Baycaligirl1,

have you tried our 14% solution ?

Also some questions that might help me further into this "darker" idea with our current line.

Also how many layers are you applying?

How much solution is being used per person?

How long are you waiting before showering?

any other details would be great. It is helpful information that can fine tune our solutions.

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

Michael..I think for a darker solution I would want the bronzer to be darker as well as the actual tan itself. I feel for a dark solution thats meant to target a deep tan the colorguide is important for us ones who want that deep chocolate color. When the guide is darker it also stains the skin which will in turn leave you with a darker tan once washed off. My clients as well as myself leave it on for a good 12 or so hours.

Also no I haven't tried the 14% and was going to however I read on here that the 14% isn't really even that dark. I must say though I love that your solutions area true brown!!!!!

I don't know if it's the right place for this question, but I'd like to know more about the Sjolie shimmer drops, somewhere I read you can use them with deionized water and have the same effect as with the solution ? I've just place an order of 12%. Thanks

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

This seems to be the place for all things Sjolie and I have a problem. I decided to go with Sjolie and ordered all solution and additives.
I was sprayed with 9% (not the first time) and it has rubbed off, I ride horses and my legs have streaks on them from where my jeans rubbed on the tan, almost like it moved the color I have a large brown streak and lighter on both sides. This was after I exfoliated properly, I use prep spray anyways and it fully developed overnight and I showered that morning and applied the proper lotion (I take very good care of my tans, that's my business). I can't have this happen and I can't stop riding horses, neither can some of my clients. Any advice appreciated.

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

@ Klintmt

Exfoliation is key to having a great tan, and should be done 24-48 prior to tan, however do not use any exfoliation the day of the day.

With any solution on the market, you will have rub off when riding horses or doing activities that have a lot of friction between your skin and clothing. When riding horses, you'll experience exfoliation where your jeans are rubbing most, which is what you stated above. You can respray faded areas if it fades much sooner than other areas of your body with a light mist.

DHA reacts solely with the Stratum Corneum level of the skin (top layer of skin). Therefor any rubbing will cause the color to fade sooner than other areas that do not experience the same friction.

We can talk more about it via email if you have questions, I do not want you to be disappointed with our product line as I feel there should be a solution to your fading issue when riding horses.

Take care,

@Sjolie
Why not exfoliate the same day of tan? As for the rubbing off after horseback riding- I have that same issue with my athletes that play soccer because of the shin guards-- if you can recommend anything please do reply to me too! I love the solutions! Do you offer travel size tan extender/exfoliators like that you could take on an airplane? Thanks!!!

Re: SJolie New Solution REVIEWS

The problem with exfoliating on the same day, is that most soaps that are being used can leave residue (bath salts, etc) which can in the end, block the DHA from being applied correctly. It is more a precaution, and/or tip for having the best results. Some clients can get away exfoliating the same day depending on what brand and how much they exfoliate.
