I have a client that swears her tan lasts longer if she moisturizes in the morning before a tan, she uses oil free only.
My theory is- like a sponge when super dry tends to repel fluid until it is a little moist.
I use Norvell and am wondering if using the Hydrofirm spray prior to tanning would halt the tan or help? Assuming its oil free?

Really... "Lucky"

I have done over 20,000 sprays; 90% had moisturizer on, becasue I TOLD THEM TO WEAR IT. You simply have no idea what you are talking about.

Self proclaimed king? You should do some homework.

Here, I'll help.

Clients should NEVER come in with dry skin and if they do, you should offer something like the California Tan Maximizer to instantly hydrate their skin and balance the PH.

I always instruct clients to shower just before coming in and to LIGHTLY moisturize their skin, either by putting the lotion on before drying off (after the shower, when they are still “dewy”) or by diluting it in their hands.

Dry skin is far worse for a spray tan than some crappy Wal-mart body-lotion on the skin. IMO: you should be selling a high-quality lotion that they can use before and after their tans.
