Rep Power: 35 | Re: Mobile Tanning Safety I've never gone on a mobile appointment yet to a private home. They all prefer to come to the salon get pampered. They can mix with UV rays and they can get a red lamp therapy treatment they can't get at home. Yes I have 3 bodyguards to choose from. lol

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Mobile Tanning Safety Those of us that don't have a salon can safely mobile tan by following alot of the suggestions above. And at the end of the day even if I was charging a thousand dollars for a mobile spray, I still wouldn't want to split it when it's a one person job. Another tip, never have more than twenty dollars of fives and singles (in case change is needed) in your bag. Do your research, have a check in person, and be aware. You can be safe and provide this service. I would think a salon has a better chance of being robbed, then a mobile tanner being a victim of violence. I'll forgo a body guard and keep all my money! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Mobile Tanning Safety well how do you surmise I charge higher when my rates have to compare to my competition? I started this business so people like me could afford and get the same service they see celebrities getting on television. Id I charge 80 a tan no one would call me, because heck I wouldn't have called the 80 dollar service. The solution costs $3.00 and gas costs on average $3.00 round trip. $30 dollars profit plus tip for an hour of wotk including travel is pretty good if you ask me, not including money made from products, or add on services. |

My mobile rate starts at $125. If you want to lower yourself to your competition get ready for $10 sprays when people are desperate to take your business.

The people I currently spray are referrals so I know someone they know & I let them know that. I've been lucky with my referral business, I spray mostly in upscale gated communities. # 2 If you have a Smartphone you can download apps that gives your location (latitude and longitude ) to selected contacts you set up. It is sent w/n 10 seconds from hitting the icon. For example. I use a Blackberry; I have a "panic button" on my home screen. The standard message I have set up is. "I've arrived at my appointment and will call you as soon as I'm finished..25 minutes tops. The end receiver (my husband and best friend) gets my message with L&L and a Birds eye view of where I am at. Someone always knows where I am, plus I have a Nextel direct connect phone I keep on my hip. My brothers are just a chirp away. But my husband always knows the address, name and number of the customer. # 3 I carry mace. # 4 If you feel uncomfortable do not go in. |
