Pricing INFO Please!
 

I have been making calls to resorts/wedding chapels this morning. One owner wants to use my services-I charge 30.00 a tan, she says she tacks on 25.00 on top of that and will not use my business name, and even asked if I could train one of her girls...? How much should I charge since she tacks on extra? Also-I told her I am not busy enough to need to train her girls...I'd be cutting my own throat/giving business away. What are your thoughts? It's very Cut-Throat around here.

Charge her $25.00 a tan to train her girl. ;)

Does she want you to train one of her girls so she would not need your services in the future?
If so, charge accordingly- she might be your comp soon.

I would stay away from this one. I've worked in various salons and clubs and have paid a small percentage for space use, but this sounds like she's just using you to train her staff. Offer her 10% per tan on your lower price and charge her a training fee.

The more I thought about this the more I think she is greedy, taking advantage of you and needs to put the crack pipe down.

Doubling the price pretty much then asking YOU to train HER staff while she makes a comfortable $25.00 a tan?

Drop that one like a bad habit.

I just spoke to a salon owner/friend-and I do think the other salon owner is trying to "fish" to see what machine I use, and what product-which I have told her I formulated my own...found out that woman is a cut-throat-and steps on everyone she can to make money....she doesn't realize, YET, that I have 2 celebrities who endorse my biz...working to get Dolly before month end.
I like the tag on your page that says "Find your zipper"...I have, LOL-no more Miss Nicey-I will not divulge any more info to outsiders-they just use my knowledge

She is crazy, no one is going to give her $55 dollars for a spray tan, when you are having a hard time getting $30. Don't train anyone unless its someone to help you. You are just cutting your own throat.

consider if you don't train one of her girls, she will no less find someone who will, so why not go at this from a different perspective. i wouldnt do both. either train and-- if her turn-out is good, you could make money on the solution? or simply tell her you want all rights to clients under whatever name she chooses, but she IS SMOKING CRACK... if she thinks she'll get $55. she will live and learn, and not make much if she doesnt adjust her cost... unless you have a product/equipment that is high end enough to market otherwise. some products do not stand out and hence are grouped in the traditional pack of sunless. i take a higher road on this end. just an idea that is clearly not a situation in your favor.
