I already have a mystic booth in my salon and I was thinking about offering airbrushing too... So, is it worth trying to do both? How do you sell an airbrushing session when the mystic is half the price? Any ideas? Thanks!

That is a good question. Many people have told me $30 is too much for a mobile spray tan when I'm handing out business cards. When I get calls some try to haggle! Of course I live in a hard hit economy area. I wouldn't try to charge double for a airbrush session. If your mystic is say $25, I would offer airbrush at $30-$45. You don't want to push it unless you live in an affluent area. Rich people are smart though, they don't stay rich by spending their money. My friend delivers pizza and its the people in the mansions that don't tip!

To me, Mystic and airbrush tans are in totally different categories. An airbrush tan is a higher quality sunless tan since it is being hand applied and you don't have to worry about user error. I would use that as a selling point when asked why they should chose airbrush over Mystic. Also, depending on what type of solution you use, it can also be customized, unlike the Mystic.
