Rep Power: 0 | Can't get it right... I am opening a mobile airbrush tanning business and I have everything I need (business plan, certification, name registered, permits, insurance, etc), except the confidence of giving a perfect tan because I don't want to ruin my business before it even gets going. This is where I have the question... I have practiced on 15 people so far, I am using a turboair airbrush with Mystic solution (I just ordered 2 different Ocean solutions as well) everyone so far has been very happy and they look great except for the ankles and the feet. I've been reading and reading and I tried different things, spraying the feet, not spraying the feet, having them wear booties, applying barrier cream , and I still manage to have bad results on the ankles and/or feet. I'm sure its gotta be my technique. Any advice, suggestions are greatly appriciated. I mean no disrespect to the professionals here, I'm just very frustrated and don't know who else to ask. Thanks. |

I give them a baby wipe to wipe off the bottoms or sides of feet if needed. Many people say they don't use a barrier cream but I have always had perfect feet with my clients so I just keep using it. |

If you can get the technique right there really is no need for barrier creams, booties or moisturisers, As you stroke down the leg try start pulling the gun away a little earlier than you perhaps are doing. Another symptom of to much on feet is to much solution dropping down when doing the upper body and can be cured two ways 1) are you spraying the upper body to far away from the skin thus creating to much over spray which drops down onto the feet...try getting in a bit closer to the skin surface...you will also save on solution and increase your profits. 2) A correctly positioned extract module will draw airborne particles away from the body thus significantly reducing solution dropping onto feet....takes a bit of placing the extract in the right spot relevant to the spray tan area that will get the extraction of airborne particles just right...too close and not enough will fall onto feet...to far away and it will leave to much falling onto feet. Rest assured if this is the only complication you have in starting up your business...well you haven't much to worry about. It is easy to let these things dent your confidence so don't allow it to do so...practice ,practice practice lol If you want to PM me your e mail addy I will happily mail you a technique tutorial which may well help your technique and consequential confidence. | ||
