The first day I got our system the filtration system wasn't installed yet and I got asthma. I've never had another problem since I started using the rather expensive filtrtation system that I researched a lot before purchasing. I'll gladly post my photo on here and prove it's me (48 yrs. old) if you post yours and prove it's you. :)

I'll give you a scare tactic. I had to have some moles removed my back from UV tanning, is that scary enough for ya? If you don't think that UV tanning is harmful, why are you spraying people? Ohio has a bill to stop teen tanning as we speak and you say its not harmful? I'm tired of this forum. You try to help people and you just get crapped on, I'm going over to Vicky and the gang at sunless they are WAY more professional! Kggonline you left and came back, for the life of my I don't know why! Good Luck with this silly forum! Say Bye to pickle nose for me! Can you show us in writing how they proved your moles were from UV tanning? I can show you some reports on over zealous Derms if you want them. I sell spraytan for people that don't educate themselves on regular tanning. I sell it to clients that need to get darker without tanning everyday. I sell it to those that need INSTANT color because they don't have time to tan at a moderate pace. I also sell face spritz to clients that worry about wrinkles or sun spots. I have a few questions for you. If sobetan is such a professional why is she breaking FDA guidelines on camera even? Why is she not protecting her clients mucas membranes? And my best question for you is if spray tan is SO SAFE why does it not have FDA approval yet UV tanning does? ;) __________________ "under exposure to UV rays is as dangerous as overexposure....this is D life" eileen

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Has anyone ever gotten headache, dizzy? WOW..Interesting stuff. I can say that I have never had any reaction to spraying people, I use three box fans, and I never have any color up my nose at the end of the day. Invest in some filtration systems, change filters often. Even though you are outside it could be blowing back at you and your breathing it off the breeze. Control your environment maybe? If you are having that bad of reactions.. wow seriously look into what is in your solution . not good. PS. Sunless should be able to talk sunless without getting bashed. What are you guys so threatened by? Maybe there should be a sunless moderator, if you have such harsh opinions. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Has anyone ever gotten headache, dizzy? illtanu I dont think people are taking this a little to far they have legitimate concerns. What I find amazing is that we are now 10 years into the spray tanning era of the industry and people still have concerns about wheather or not it is safe. I think alot of concerns could be put to rest if the manufactures of the booths and the solutions would just show some documented studies that they have conducted in house to show that these solutions are safe for long term use or heavy everyday use and inhilation by salon owners. But the only thing that seems to be told over and over again is that D.H.A is safe because its F.D.A approved and that approval took place over 40 years ago and it was for use in cosmetics creams and topicals not in solutions with propellants, alchohols and fragrances added to them for spraying. Also there are certain ingredients in some solutions that are not F.D.A approved take erythrulose its is not on the F.D.A approval list. Yes it works similiar to D.H.A but it is not approved. The booth and solution manufactures are making big bucks selling booths at $30,000 to $50,000 and tons of solution to go along with them. You think they would have some studies published. My advice to salon owners who spray tan or want to spray but still have concerns regarding these issues would be to ask their suppliers if they have personally conducted any in house test on the long term effects of their products and if they would release that information. Or option 2 would be to wear a mask because its better to be safe than sorry and finally if you are that afraid of it just dont spray tan at all. Now here are a couple of myths that always bugged me about D.H.A solutions. Its sticky because it comes from sugar cane. Well lets look at it this way it could be sticky because of that or maybe its sticky because of all the additives that have been put into it so when you spray it on someone it holds to their skin in place and doesnt run off or bead up like regular water would. When I would spray tan and see it sticking to the inside of my nose I often wondered how it was sticking to the inside of my lungs and if that was effecting my ability to breathe thats why I started to wear a mask. Another one I hated was ( Its all natural because it comes from sugar) I dont know what all natural means to most people but to me it means a Grape, or a Orange or the grass on my front lawn. If somethings has been chemically altered and then additives have been placed into it and mixed together to make one finished product that to me is not all natural. |

For those of you who have said that you taken your ingredient list or MSDS sheets to you Doctor for reveiw please keep in mind your doctor is a doctor he or she is trained in how to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Most of them have no chemistry background or pharmacology background. And they to also been known to make mistakes when prescribing medication for conditions they see and treat every day. There are also many of them that have prescribed medications that were F.D.A approved and years later were found to have health effects in mass amounts of people that why there are so many class action law suites against pharmaceutical companies today. This was obvoiusly not their fault it was the presciption drugs companies fault but the point of the matter is doctors do not know everything not even about the long term effects of some of thr drugs they prescribe everyday. |

Pharmacuetical companies SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A SALES FORCE! I don't trust ANY doctor to make a prescription recommendation for me unless I have researched the product in it's entirety myself. Maybe some of you are not aware, but your family practitioner meets with drug dealers everyday and gets perks, benefits, and bonuses for prescribing certain products to you. Drug Dealers (Pharma Reps) are not allowed inside Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, which is why I prefer my family practitioner be based out of that hospital. Please get your heads out of your ases and realize most of the Health Care "Business" doesn't give a crap about you. | |
