How do i tan my hands?????:(

In need help. I use a sunless tanning product called St Tropez bronzing mousse. Its great but i have serious troulbe tanning my hands.

Areas like my knuckles that have deep ridges come out very darkly tanned, becoming very obvious that i have applied a tan.

I have tried mixing the product in with a moisturizer to reduce the tanning effect and i wipe away excess product off my knuckles.

IS there anything i can do to proberly tan my hands?

You can either get an aerosol sunless or not apply it at all. Most will not notice. Sunless tans do not look natural on very light skinned people if over applied.

Chris,
Agree, get rid of the mousse. No matter what you are layering your hands each time because your hands are the instrument of application. You need an aerosol product so that you can lightly spray your hands when you get to that body part. Then you are not continually "coating" your hands as you are applying everywhere else. Don't over spray your hands and keep a distance of about 12 inches when you do them and air dry well. Spray yourself in your shower so any over spray can be cleaned off easily as opposed to your carpet or floor. Consider buying your product from a tanning salon as well. The reason I say that is that we have done the homework and carry the best ones. So many out there lack that natural looking color you are seeking and we go through many products to find the good ones. Other option is to consider a spray tan from a professional and use your aerosol in between. Best Wishes!

My favorite seller is California Tan Spray Tan with flawless tint. Good stuff. Had disastrous results with Canned Tan from Breeze although that has been now corrected.

What is the real color of your eyes and hair? I'm thinking like CTM on this one.

With some experimenting with different options there is absolutely no reason why you should not get good results with a sunless tan application.

Ok so the bronzing mousse doesn't work...try an aerosol or perhaps a moisturiser that is fortified with DHA...not the stuff you buy in the drug store but supplied by a sunless solution company.

In terms of ridges cumming out dark this is where the DHA is "grabbing" the skin...try giving your hands a good exfoliation to remove any build up of dead skin.

Perseverance and trialing different products will undoubtedly get you there in the end.

Good luck

My eye colour is light blue and hair is light brown with a hint of orange.

Thanks for the replies guys! really valuable info. I will look into different aerosol sunless products starting with the California Tan Spray.

another question........ if i applied a slight bit of moisterizer over the area of my knuckles before applying the spray to reduce the darkness effect, would this good a idea or not? (when i get the product i will try it out).

Are you a consumer or a salon owner? Will you be purchasing the products from a tanning salon or on line?

This site is for industry professionals. If you are not researching opening a tanning salon or own one or a re in the industry then you do not belong here.
