Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

Sorry, I haven't checked back in here for a while. I had a few more clients upset yesterday again about the bronzer. i just tell them I'm working on it so hopefully they won't give up on me! lol... my clients are absolutely addicted to the versa spa. It's the most popular thing in my salon and now it's just not the same. I've called 4 times now and no answer back. Ridiculous!

Thanks Din and John for the options, I'll be making some phone calls today!

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

I just returned from the Sac Expo put on by heartland this past weekend, and I was noticing the same problems, i found out why anyways...
From what i heard....Norvell WAS producing their product ( the one everyone loved) then when they did the merger with magic and mystic, and MT took over the solution and thats why everyone had to recalibrate their machines to makeup for the difference.

I dont get why these companies are sooooo dumb? If magic Tan came out with the idea of having norvell produce their solutions and it worked, and OBVIOUSLY worked wonders hence the popularity of the versa spa, then WHYYYYYYY change it back to the same CRAP that Mystic Tan was using, when The solution norvell was making was way better.
SO frusturating.

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

Bronzejason,

Unfortunately what you were told is completely untrue! I am sorry that you were mislead. MT Industries formulates the VersaSpa® bag in box solution specifically for the VersaSpa® system. This product is the ONLY formula that is guaranteed to produce the best results for your users, operate properly in your system and be backed by our brand reputation.

The idea that the formula is the Mystic Tan Myst or anything similar is totally false. Not only do the systems operate on different platforms, one uses Magnetan technology while the other is a patented HVLP system.

MT Industries, the manufacturers of the VersaSpa® system & solution , welcomes the opportunity to discuss any questions, comments or challenges personally with our owners. Please phone our Customer Service Dept at (440) 836-0199 or email me directly, Kim@mt-ind.com, so we can support your needs and put these untruths to rest. We sincerely want to earn your confidence and business!

~Kim

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

Sorry Kim, but I'm still very unhappy with the solution change. I have 2 full solutions from ya'll still sitting in the back because I had to switch to another solution in order to get my clients back in. If anyone is looking to fix their solution problem call TODD EARNHART AT CLUB TAN. Email me if you want his contact info. I have been using his solution throughout the winter and have great results. Very, Very Dark color, great smell and it stays on. All my clients are happy. I was alittle worried the color was too dark for the winter, but everyone loves it.

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

How dark is the solution your using compared to the versa spa color Ashley?
I actually have 3 different bronzers in my machine right now. But some of my customers
would actually love something darker.
Currently I'm using
savvy solution - most popular
biddiscombe- s4200/ for those who like versa color but can't use it because it washes right off
versa- there are a few people who are still able to use it

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

I am using the original Versa formulation again. I am pleased once again and so is my pocketbook.

We are also coded and running the New Versa Spa Double Dip programs and what I call the "Triple Threat." Which by the way, is a beautiful DARK European color. If you don't know about these I highly encourage you to jump on the bandwagon.

Versa made changes, yes. But, they listened and heard our issues and went back to the original recipe. I give them credit for that.

I encourage you to talk to Kim and have her send you out a free box so you can fall in love with the product again...I have no doubt she will. I put her through the frustration ringer a few months back and she gutted out my angst and made things right.

I encourage you to at least revisit this.

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

The Gliss is what Todd at Club Tan offers, it's very dark. Best color I have ever seen from a sunless solution . He will send you a sample if you ask. I tried Savvy and I liked it but the color just wasn't as dark as what most of my clients like. You can also buy Gliss in 5 Gallons and it is essentially almost half of what you pay with Versaspa. I would love for the Versaspa solution to work, but so far it just has not, and I see no reason going back to them when I have a great color and it's half the price.

Re: New Versa Spa solution....anyone having a problem?

The only thing about Todd's solution is that you have to buy it in 5 gallon jugs. It doesn't come in any other size. It is a nice solution though.

We still use the Versa solution amongst a couple others and I tried myself for the first time in over a year & I have to say, I don't like it as much as I used to. It came off all over everything I touched, my clothes and everything and then most of it came off intge shower and on my towel when I dried off.

I can smell it on me but I don't see any color. :(

I have been using one from Biddiscombe that is supposed to be similar to the old Versa but it keeps breaking the pumps and I keep replacing parts so I'm looking for something new that's not so thick.

I also still use the savvy... Everyone loves it!
