Re: Anyone own the Maxi Mist can give me suggestions on solutions, etc?

I just got my maxi mist and love it ! Its pretty simple to use and it spays fast. I used 2 oz of solution and it took me about 10 min to spray the whole body.

$7000.00 for a TC3, training and certification, are you nuts? Certification by who? Sally? Who certified her my I ask? (Not a slam on Sally, met her many times in NYC, great gal, her husband Alex is a trip)

You can buy the TC3 (which has the same design/type gun as the MaxiMist Pro ("supposedly better gun" as you say and it is just that, worth every penny) all over the place for $1100.00 or less.

Pay me $2000.00, I'll fly to NY, train you, stay in a really nice hotel for 3 days, still come back with cash in my pocket and you save $4000.00.

I could set up an entire store front for $7000.00.

HAHAA....Ok got the message loud and clear! However for $1100 I would rather go with the fuji HVLP which is Turbine and works with a gravity fed gun and is only $1000. I know of only one other machine like this and its from australian gold and goes for around $4000. I have been sprayed by this type of machine and i do feel its more precise. Whats your opinion? Also Im looking for a solution that is not aloe based, i know theyre out there i just cant find one to save my life! any help would be much appreciated!

Every system mentioned you or I are all Turbines, and trust me, you don't want a gravity fed gun. Off balance to begin with, limited amount of solution you can put in the cup etc. IMO the Apollo T5020 or the Maxi Pro gun are better choices, spray is outstanding with either. PLUS, very simple to operate and maintain.

Non-Aloe (as an ingredient) juice is everywhere, but why such a hunt? The amount of aloe used in most solutions in extremely minor, tanning solution in all actuality is water based, 75-85% water in almost every juice made.

I like non-aloe based because its not sticky therefore you dont mind leaving the solution on for the full amount of time as opposed to running to the shower ASAP.

As for the machines i have been mentioning, I dont know much except for what ive been told is the "BEST" by someone thats been doing this for 10 years and has tried everything. Therefore that's really all i have to go by. She did explain the gravity fed is harder to handle but gives a better tan and has less overspray....

True? False?

Sorry to burst the bubble on the "Best" but your friend doesn't know what she is talking about and by that statement I highly doubt she has tried more than a few guns, if that. Being gravity fed had absolutely zero to to with the quality of application or over spray ... NOTHING! My bet is she had a crap gun that wasn't gravity fed to start with, bought the one she has now which is better than the crap and came to the conclusion that " gravity fed is the best". The only thing she has right is what I already said, the gun will be off balance which in turn can make the APPLICATION more difficult and more room for error. So she has told you what you need to know, avoid them .

I have had a hobby/side business of painting show cars for 35 years, I have been paid as much as $20,000.00 for a single paint job. I know a little bit about spray guns. (Own somewhere around 30)

Also sounds like you have tried "A" formula that contained aloe that you either didnt like or was applied wrong (being to much applied) so now all formulas with aloe are to be avoided.

Me thinks your over thinking things, this is not brain surgery nor a difficult business.

There are lots of great systems for $300.00-$500.00 that will suit you well and lots of formulas with aloe that you wouldn't even know it unless you looked at the label.

I have been looking at the MAXIMIST Pro as well for starting up with. I have less than $500.00 to spend on a machine and this seems to be one of the best for the price. Please, i would like to hear any suggestions, or if you recommend something else.

Please read the Sticky Notes on the top of the Sunless Forum.

I have also posted some blogs for newbies.

The Sunless Forum has been inundated with people interested in sunless spray tannning.

This site is for Professional Salon Owners. If you are not a professional salon owner than I would suggest www.sunless.com

That site contains tons of information for you.

Good luck
