Leaky Solution Cups

I purchased the TC3 Whisper Mist and the white solution cups do not seem to fit correctly to the spray gun and I have been having leaking trouble; resulting in drops on the clients feet, etc. I have written Envy Tan and Apollo to ask for help, but have not heard back from them....I had clients booked tonight and had to suffer through the leaks. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a newbie....so please be kind...thanks and I love reading all your posts....

Re: Leaky Solution Cups

Did you try calling the companies instead of writing? Will give you faster answers.

Thanks...I will try calling direct. Just wondering if anyone had this problem and, if so, any advice...

Where the cup screws into the lid that is attached to the spray gun....It doesn't seem like the cup screws in correctly....if you over tighten, then it becomes loose and you have to try again...I have seen this spray gun on many websites; so I was hoping so one here could help...

Re: Leaky Solution Cups

Ooooooooooooooh I see. Try TEFLON TAPE. Also called plumber's tape. It's like 50cents. Unscrew the bottle, wrap the tape around the bottle's ridges (4-6times around should work) and then screw the top on (after filling of course)

That should help.

Re: Leaky Solution Cups

that will help...but it shouldn't be leaking in the first place.

In the spray gun there should be a black rubber gasket...usually. if it's missing, it will leak. maybe you didn't put it in....if it came with it.

Give em a call...im sure they will get you sorted..till then either PTFE plumbers tape around the thread(as already mentioned) or dollop some Vaseline around the inside screw thread of the cup holder.

Oh and the TC3 machine is a dam good machine ;0))

Re: Leaky Solution Cups

that's what it is. Plastic on plastic with a whole 3/4 rotations worth of tightening will not be air tight unless it's glued or there's a gasket.

"shouldn't be leaking" is approaching "assumption" and that's a no good.
