Hey i was wondering... many of you state that it only takes 2oz to fully spray tan a body.

I dont know if its me or something but the only time it averages 2 oz is with a size 4 woman

I have spray tanned many large women and the amount of solution can be up to 8oz.


Any thoughts or comments feedback on this ?

strange you should say that..here in the UK we had a successful chain of supermarkets called ASDA who were taken over by Walmart some 10yrs back(geeze them guy's own everything hey).

Well being dragged around the ladies clothing section so many times over the years..(don't mind the underwear section but the slippers/hats and scarves sections bore the pants off me lol)....anyways I have noticed that the sizes are just getting enormous...I held up the largest size pair of jeans the other day in the store...they blocked out the friggin sun lol....wouldn't want to meet with the wearer of them pants in a dark alleyway at 2am in the morning that's for dam sure

oh and on technique for tanning these larger ladies...well just double the strokes and there good to go lol

My last client was a larger lady and it took me around 75mL for her...BUT she did have to sit down TWICE because she was "dizzy" headed.....(come to find out her sugar was up) and I had to re-touch the upper lefs and chest (and under the boobs) so I think I could have used a little less, if she hadn't of had to sit down TWICE......

Any of you ran into this? To where the client has to sit down and messes up the spray tan ? It did end up coming out even the next morning when she showered, but I was so afraid she would be "spotchy" in those places, because even after I re-touched those areas, they still looked lighter than the rest.....but all did end up well (I called her the next day to make certain.)

Also wanted to add that I can normally do up to a size 7/8 female with 50mL solution .....if they weigh more than that, I have to add more :)

I spray as I would normally spray anyone else. They get a bit of an excercise though because they need to bend in a lot to get in the creases.

Amy, This happens a lot when the skin comes into contact with something else during the spray session. It is only the cosmetic and is fine after the first shower. Sometimes I will spray an employee after they have sprayed me. I will have lines from my pants where I would squat down. The next day it is gone and the DHA develops normally because it has already absorbed into your skin.

Yes, it looked HORRIBLE though....I know most will come off, but I thought she was "screwed" because she had to sit down and kinda bend over twice.

Now now....the people here in Southern Cali can be big too. I usually use 8oz for them.

Here is the deal I have a fat (300 pound) sister and her BFF is large as well. They know they are fat and they know they will have to do things differently just like every other aspect of their lives. So I have them hold their arms straight up, hold up the girls to spray and dry, bend when we get to the sides etc. Just be professional and GUESS what they have NO idea what your "normal" routine is they just think every one goes through the same "dance" if you will. IT will not be perfect like it is on you or I because they just have places you can't get to....but it is really close.
