Cheap back up machine for airplane travel... - tanTALK

Does anyone know of a cheap machine that would be good for a backup and that I can check into airplane luggage without having to be too worried about getting damaged? I am in a wedding in November and the whole bridal party wants to get sprayed in Vegas. Just don't want to take my expensive machine on the plane. I was looking at the SpeedySpray SprayMate.... any thoughts???

It has the same spray gun as the maximister - which is good b/c I love mine. It prob would be fine. price is right!

Perfect choice, fits in carry on no prob, just be prepared to be pulled aside......

Thanks guys. The price is good for sure, like $200 after shipping! I was thinking I was going to check it into luggage not carry it on, is that a good idea?

They have it listed at TampaBayTan. As a flight attendant in my previous career my advice to you would be to wrap it with a towel or bubble wrap and check it - Tape your solutions well and double bag them but if they check your bag the baggage guys are bad about putting things back the way they found them so you might be better off sending them on ahead by mail so you do not end up with solution on all of your clothes! With the extra bag fee you might just be better off sending all your equipment on ahead - it probably would end up costing the same and yu would not have the hassle of lugging it around or the possible mess to deal with. If you put it in your carry on they will give you trouble about it -not worth it. plus with the liquids carry on thing you can only take 4oz bottles and only as many as fit in a quart size bag. good luck and have fun! :)

I guess I am just not sure how you mail things ahead to a hotel and insure it gets there ontime but not to early...

Yes they do have them on tampabaytans but tampa bay tans also sells them on ebay for cheaper than what they sell them for on there website.

Call the hotel mgr and they will hold it for you in the office/or bellmans closet. Not that uncommon- he/she will tell you what to do.

I am looking at the SpeedySpray "SprayMate" I have been watching a few and the last one closed at $142.50 plus $13.99 for shipping. Its not an everyday machine so I am trying to go cheap! I think the Maximist goes for alittle more.
