Rep Power: 0 | Questions about AIRBRUSH methods only..... I just purchased an airbrush system and Aviva labs 10% DHA solution , solely for my own use (husband will be spraying me). I am curious to know if when you airbrush , do you spray in a small circular motion? Or do you spray horizontal/vertical? Also do you use 2 coats? if so, do you also use 2 coats on face as well? I'll admit, I'm a little scared for my first spray ;) Advice & tips are GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance. |

Re: Questions about AIRBRUSH methods only..... I have the NORVELL NT-200 and we spray vertically and horizontaly...we only use 1 coat on each client and go back and "touch-up", if needed. I have never sprayed in circular motion, but have seen it done by others, but I don't know what kind of equipment they had/were using... Do you have an adjustable knob on yours? If so, my opinion is to spray up/down - side/side.....

HVLP is a much unit/larger gun that sprays vertical/ horizontal. The HVLP would be much easier to use esp. for someone new to spray tanning . I am sure you will get the hang of the airbrush method, but it is a much longer process and more labor intensive method vs. the HVLP. |

Thank you, my husband is very familiar with painting/airbrushing and since I will just be using it on myself, I do have the time which is one of the reasons why we chose the airbrush over HVLP. Although I'm sure at some point I will upgrade to the gun. Will one coat cover everything if you're doing the circular motion? |

Do you guys think I should use a barrier cream, especially for my first spray until my husband gets used to spraying? If so, can I just use vaseline or a moisturizer ? I don't have any specific "barrier creams"...... |
