Rep Power: 0 | Opinions needed please... Hi All. Ok, I know a lot of you have posted on here about promoting your businesses by spraying models at fashion shows, doing bikini contests, pageant contestants, etc.. Anyway, I am going to approach a couple of locals nightclubs around here to see about spraying their staff in exchange for advertisement. My question is, should I do it for free or a small charge, say $10? I am leaning towards doing it for a small charge just because I don't really know how much business I will actually get. I say this because I am already spraying two ladies for free who work at a gym here in my town in exchange for promotion, but have gotten no business from it. Granted, its only been about 3 weeks, but still. So, please tell me what you think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Amanda TINT Mobile Sunless Tanning |

The only ones that keep coming back and referring others is friends, then their friends and so on. I just went to some 24 hour fitness gyms and left some coupons/flyers for the employees hoping they will come in and inspire the people they train to do the same. Seems like this summer has been harder to drum up the rush- I moved salons :( way more south then I was before, it feels like I am starting over.. ah well after baby blues I guess. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Opinions needed please... Hi All. I really appreciate your advice. I decided not to do the free sprays for nightclub staff after all. After thinking about my arrangement that I have with the ladies at the gym nearby, I don't think it will work out. The only thing I am going to try right now is an incentive program for referrals at the salon that I get my hair done at. The last time I was there, I mentioned my business and the young lady told me that all the employees do some form of spray tanning there and would be very interested in it. I left my business cards to be displayed and have already gotten a client from it. So, I figure if they knew they could get free tans from referring business to me, I could get a lot more people. Thanks again all! |

That way you aren't stuck doing a bunch of free tans, but those that are motivated to try your service will contact you right away, and are probably serious tanners. *Also, free is never "FREE". "With purchase" is a great clause!! |
