why does the solution pool somtimes?

I am using a Maximist system and it is working great although latley I have had a couple of customers that the solution is not sticking to their skin in places. I am using the Tampa Bay 8.0 solution . I am hoping someone knows why this is happening or if anyone else has had this issue.

Re: why does the solution pool somtimes?

same thing happened to me after i had my friend exfoliate with my new product. The spray was beautiful on her torso and legs, but on her face and chest YIKES....puddles and running...then I looked at the exfoliatant I gave her...and it was actually after tan moisturizing body wash....guess I know how she washes now...cause he the oil from the body wash was right in the chest area....maybe your customers are using a moisturizing/oily body wash before the tan. Try a pre tanning prep solution (toner like) runs about $20 a gallon. Spray it on your clients before their session, let it dry and it will probably curb your problem. Plus, the extra attention may make them feel a little more pampered. Good luck.

from what your describing this isn't either a machine or solution problem but more likely a customer problem.

In addition to ensuring they exfoliate all over and in addition to the typical dry areas also pay attention to removing any make up,deodorant, perfume and in particular make sure they don't moisturise certain areas before you spray them...sounds like the problem is one of residue moisturiser or oil not allowing the tan to soak into the skin around these areas.

HTH

Re: why does the solution pool somtimes?

This is the only thread I could find that was close to what am having problems with. I have the iwata pro series with the G5 air gun. I kinda wish I would have gone with the HVLP now because it takes so long to spray a body with the air gun.
The problem I am having is the solution sticking to the ends of the fine hairs on the body. I am trying to spray a light coat and staying the recommened 12 or so inches away from the client but the ends of the hair always have solution built up on them. I end up having to blot the area with a towel and then I am always afraid I took too much off... and then end up respraying that area. I have turned my psi down to 10, I have tried to move faster, I don't know what else to do!
This is happening on everybody I have sprayed so far! My husband is hairy but my girlfriends and neighbors that I have been spraying (for practice) have nothing but peach fuzz hair. Can anybody tell me what I may be doing wrong???
BTW, I am using Sjolie solutions and Extended Vacation solutions for the most part but have also used skinny glo. So it must be something with the machine or operator (ME)
Any suggestions?

I had this problem when spraying my husband.....I have an HVLP and i sprayed too close and too much. I have learned to lower my PSI and spray light the first time and let him dry and then spray him again. I use an Apollo t700 and this seems to work. Goodluck to you!!!

Re: why does the solution pool somtimes?

Lower amount of solution by 1/3. Too much product coming out. You also may be pausing spray gun without realizing it, watch your technique. Hope it works out!

It is also possible that your spray gun isnt atomizing the particles finely. Could be dirty or slightly clogged.
