Rep Power: 0 | Question about spray tanning I am new here, so please be nice :-) I found this message board while browing Google for more information about spray tans . Wow, you guys seem to know A LOT about it and this is probably the best place to ask since there are so many professionals here. I seriously would like to have a tan like Joey Lawrence (see links to pictures below). I am very light skinned. Will it be possible for me to achieve such a tan and maintain it? How often will I need to go? http://www.exposay.com/celebrity-pho...ise-Agpns6.jpg http://www.9sn.net/resim/Joey-Lawrence.jpg |

There is absolutely no reason why you cant achieve the tanned look your searching for...you will need to prep your skin before you go(exfoliate any dead skin cells from your skins surface..particular attention to knees and elbows and you will have to undertake an ongoing post tan regime of moisturiser and gentle exfoliation leading up to the next tan application. In terms of the spray tan application cycle...well this differs from each and every individual dependant on skin condition, age, prep, post application maintenance, solution and how well the tan has been applied....a good therapist would be able to recommend a cycle that suits you specific...could be anything from 5-10 days depending on these factors.

Have a look through your local outlets..go in have a chat with them...get a feel for the one you think has your interests as a customer to heart and go for it....make sure though that before you do so the salon undertake a patch test prior to the application of the spray tan ....just to make sure you dont have any adverse reaction to the specific solution they use. Good luck

It's common to loose the tan there early due to sweat. I would also guess that since he lives in California, he probably has a good base tan underneath it. |

I will see if I can find a good studio around here. |

Re: Question about spray tanning Yep....I agree he does have something going on.....nice color though I have noticed that after the first one or two applications, the tan is lasting approx. 8 days (a little touch-up needed on inside of arms) the first application I do on clients only lasts around 5 days. The only thing, thus far I have used is the Amber Sun Solution and I have found that the pH Balance Spray is a must (on most).

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Question about spray tanning The last picture is definately a spray tan picture...Ah, Joey I so loved him when I was in junior high! You can achieve this color with a spray tan , but maintaining it, that is a whole other issue. I would recommend buying a sunless mist for your face, that's where the tan will fade first. Don't forget also that Joey probably has a professional make-up team! |
