i was only asking for tips on how to spray a nude male... not if i should or not. didnt mean to start a battle on opinions.

Your right in how ironic it is that UV tanning is FDA approved ..I guess that's through considerable lobbying on the part of the UV sector which to be fair has been around for considerably more years than the sunless sector by comparison and a dam fine job the the UV guy's have done ;0))

What do you think they mean by spraying and misting here? I thought booth and handheld but it really isn't that clear to me.

Also as far as the lobbying I did hear once before that all that needs to be done is for the larger companies to pay to have the safety testing done like other companies.... again I only heard this and I don't really know all the politics involved.

I don't really see it as a battle of opinions. I see it as sharing business procedures. Again to answer your original question IMO if you are in the USA don't spray nude and stay within the FDA guidelines.

Well said eileen(again really had to concentrate on the spelling again there..dam why is it so different) ..."its good to talk" and debate and whilst we are continents apart we are all therapists and surely its good to exchange our different mythology ,cultures opinions,thinking and simply share ideologies that can only improve on our profession as a whole.

I know for a fact that opinions as well as understanding requests from abroad would be most welcomed on UK based forums such as this fantastic one you guy's have the good fortune to have here

Wow things have gotten spicy here!!!
Besides from being a "high risk" type of service @ tanning "private ryan" because of possible skin sensitivities, its also just plain not a wise thing to do .... That area doesnt take tanning very well to start with, it will fade oddly because of friction, and the possibility of litigation should be enough to keep a legitimate operator from performing such activities.
That said... i have gotten a few requests of the same nature, i wont do it but, If you do deciede where few dare to go... try to make sure you dont over apply solution as it gets spotty, also make sure they are thoughly dry before getting dressed, use a blow dryer on warm only not hot, use plenty of silk powder to prevent chaffing of the solution coat, results vary because of amount of erection of lack of, striping and spotting is kinda common so you may wish to convey that to your clients. the males clients that i have sprayed in the past usually manage to "tie" the thong around the testis and penis. it works and they move their own junk.

We provide hair processing caps for our clients to put over their hair. When I have a man who does not want tan lines. I have him double(or triple) the cap over and place it over his privates. I will only do this with clients I feel comfortable with, definitely not first timers.
