after airbrush moisturizing spray? tinted powder?

OK, Sorry for having soooo many questions - I have been trying to search the treads so I won't be soo needy but I am having a hard time finding current info on makers of after airbrush tan moisturizing spray/ setting spray? Does it keep the guide/bronzer from comming off on clothes? Is there a solution that is very transfer resistant? I have also read in the post that some people use a no-talc powder after tan and that there are some that have a little color and/or sparkle? Anyone know who makes them?

NO need to be sorry. There is a lot to learn regarding Uv Free Tanning ie: Spray Tanning

You will need to search different Sunless Solution MFG's to find out which ones make this type of product. All of them do not produce this type of Spray Liquid because they believe nothing should be sprayed on the skin after a Spray Tan session until after you take your intial shower and the dha has started to develop.

No it doesn't keep the color guide from coming off on clothes. A color guide or "cosmetic bronzers" will only come off on clothes if 1) you get dressed and you are still wet or tacky. 2) You sweat or get wet before you take that first shower.

There is no "Transfer Resistant" solution either but if you are really worried about this issue you can use Clear or Un-tinted Solutions.

The powder thing is being done by some sprayers but again that doesn't mean everyone who sprays throws powder on their clients to dry them. You would be "shocked" if you knew how many salons world wide do not even do this. Find the right solution and I do not think you will have to be doing it either.

Hope this helps you and good luck!

*smile*

Hey there sweetcaroline!!! I always use a light dusting of powdered silk tinted with a bronzing dust from Walmart. I get the powdered silk from sallys beauty supply. just a little bronzer ito the top of the silk container and thats it. I dont use it to dry the clients ...but rather to give them a nice bit of sparkle and it helps the creases of the body not to sweat ! Try it your clients love the extra pampering!!! Have a great day!!!!

What is the name of the powder you use? I was just on Sallys website and can't find 'powdered silk', only rice powder, which sounds like a mineral type makeup. I would love to offer this to clients since humid, hot weather is coming :) Also, what do you use to apply it?

Besthands - Thank you so much for the reply! What a clever idea! Do you have the brand name for the powdered silk and bronzing powder/sparkle? Thanks Again!
