Question Help with spray gun

I have a Cal Tan Custom Bronzer that is 5 yrs. old and I just started to have problems with the spray gun. I clean it after every use and take it apart and clean every few days. Yesterday I was spraying a client and when I pulled the trigger the spray continued to come out after I released the trigger. What do I do to fix this?

Re: Help with spray gun

Lube it up each time you clean it...especially in hard water areas when build up of limescale can cause jamming.

Not sure if you guy's can get this in the U.S. but WD40 works a treat...after stripping the gun down and washing simply spray all the broken down components.

This stuff will repel water left in the gun, reduce limescale build up and act as a lubricant also.

Gland seal not is to tight. Thats the nut in front of the trigger the needle goes through. Loosen a very very little, issue solved. Loosen to much and it will leak at the the gland nut.

Its amazing how that stuff is all over the fri##in (opps can I say that) world and how many times (in the UK) when therapists learn of this trick trundle off to their hubbies workshop and raid the stuff...must cause so many arguments..."hey sweetheart wheres my fri##in (opps am I allowed again?) WD40 gone I need it for my engine" type of thing arguments.

I guess its a bit like a hubby nicking the wife's lipstick when she is out shopping....probably a whole different ball game but never the less that's all I could think of as a comparison...he he he

Wonder just how many cans of WD40 are sold worldwide each month??

Sport fisherman actually spray their fishing lures with the stuff out here in Canada. They say the scent attracts fish.
