Tampabay Tan solution..

I've used the 8, 10, & 12% solutions from Tampa Bay Tan, approx two gallons of each. I like the color however it does take a little long to dry completly. I have had some clients use baby powder if they're in a rush however I was wondering a couple things.

Has anyone used TBT solutions then switched to one they liked better?
I like the color however sometimes even the 12% doesn't seem to be dark enough.
How many of you actually use DHA drops on your clients?

Baby powder. I am not sure if thats a good idea, that will soak out moisture big time. Do you have a fan in the room that helps dry them?

Again I will have to give kudos to Breeze, really good sunless solution .

Remember, two coats can look better than one. Its rare that I ever do just one unless they are really light and want just a hint of color. Do you do one coat?

Re: Tampabay Tan solution..

I recently tried Breeze solution and didn't like it at all. It might work okay on those that are naturally dark, but I tried it on two lighter skinned people and myself, and it did not look good on any of us. I used the Breeze #9. Overall, I'd have to say it's one of the wettest solutions I've tried.

I use the Fantasy Tan solutions and like them, except that they don't last as long on everyone. I'm lucky if I can get 7 days of color without using an extender.
I just tried All About Me and LOVED it! I'm waiting to see how long it lasts before I make up my mind completely on it.
I also have samples of Pure Sunless Tahitian Tea, Vani-T to try and will also try John Abate's solution .
My recommendation is to try them all yourself and then decide. Breeze, All About Me, Vani-T, and Pure Sunless will all give free samples if you request them. Sometimes it takes a little work, but it's better than spending $$$ on something and then hating it.

Re: Tampabay Tan solution..

Did you buy a gallon? A sample will do two people at the most. Did you shake well? The breeze we have used dries very fast, smells great and works really well. I am pretty sure we used 10 percent with them, maybe 11 percent, been a while. Odd.

But also give Biddescombie a try, good stuff too but we are going to be switching back to Breeze on our next order.

I've read on here that the baby powder after about 20 minutes will help with the "tacky" feeling. We have used it on clients only when they are in the rush after the initial 20 minutes or so. This isn't a common practice however.

This is a 100% mobile company. There is no fan in our mobile booth however I do have a couple high volume blow dryers that the technicians will hand dry each person for approx 5 minutes with.

I'll contact Breeze and All About Me to try both out.

Re: Tampabay Tan solution..

If it dries quickly it's probably alcohol based. The aloe/water based goo will take longer to dry.

Royalsun, not always true. All About Me is water based with aloe and it dries extremely fast.

Re: Tampabay Tan solution..

Its not all about evaporation, its about absorption. But for sure avoid any that are alcohol based. Not sure about Breeze, but the Biddescombie I have contains no alcohol.

Re: Tampabay Tan solution..

Unity - Breeze actually gives pretty large bottles of solution for samples. They sent me two bottles - I would guess each one is 8 oz. I only use about 2 oz. on each person, so that's more than enough to do three people (I actually still have some left).

I also use powder on tacky areas, but I use a special sparkle/bronzer powder that Fantasy Tan gave me with my system. Women love it, but most men don't want you coming near them with it. I've never had any problems with the tan because of it.
