reducing overspray ..tent??

I recently saw the tent on Tampabaytans..anyone have one of these??? It seems great for mobile tanning, but also seems like it may be difficult to spray someone in that small of a space.
I am think about getting maximist- ...?? How is the overspray with it??
I have never used HPLV before, but heard great things about it.

Ive been using a dark green and for almost a year. I am very satisfied with it. I purchased it last summer for 29.95 & 5.99 shipping.

The price has gone up on their site to I believe 39.97 with 7.95 shipping.

To get $5.00 off shipping use this coupon code
'BF861' when you check out.

I cut an opening in the back (used the liquid anti frey around the area that i cut so no freying) and I use a box fan in the back of the tent with a black air filter over it which diminishes any type of overspray.

I also use 4 - 6 mini clip lites as well

Wow! Thanks for the link to Bargain Outfitters - WAY cheaper than the ones they sell elsewhere specifically for tanning!!! They look exactly the same. Is it easy to fold up? How about cleaning it? How often do you find that you need to clean? Does the material absorb the solution and look brown (dirty)? Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure it'll be OK before I order it!! Tired of cleaning peoples shower stalls & tubs :)

Re: reducing overspray ..tent??

I use a maximist and my tent is the one from Tampabaytan. I LOVE IT! Everyone complains about there tents and I have no complaints. It's brown, so it's lighter then black and has windows and with both of that it lets in so much more light then the black ones with no windows. The bag is sturdy also, which is usually the first thing that breaks. And I am mobile so I am putting it up and down all the time. I love it and would highly recommend it.

Oh and I wipe it down real quick after each tan and hose it out once a week and that has worked out great.

do you have a pic of the box fan with air filter on the back? I'm not sure how to do this but it sounds like a great idea. Where do you get the air filters? Is it foam or what?

Re: reducing overspray ..tent??

just use a 20x20 box fan that you can get at walmart for 9 dollars.

then buy a black air filter (in the home appliance area ... near the humidifers and air cleaners and put it in front of the fan.

Have you looked into getting professional training? I would highly suggest it... its worth the investment.

Re: reducing overspray ..tent??

Thanks. I have professional training with a airbrush and compressor. I'm a spa owner, esthetician an CMT I've been spray tanning for 10 years, I have a lot of questions because I have never used an HVLP before, unfortunately my first HVLP maxi mist arrived with defective spray gun. so I am considering a Apollo T100 which as a PSI of 1.0 vs Maxi mist 1.7.
Might be a softer spray.
Thanks for your answer

Re: reducing overspray ..tent??

if your a spa owner you should definitely look into a quieter hvlp. ive heard many posters state that it is noisey.

many hvlp setups can be louder than airbrush setups.
