How should I promote my new Mobile Business? I was thinking of doing 25 Free tanning and $10.00 Off next tanning session,for every refer someone...I will be handing out flyer and business cards..
My other question is ..Im looking for a soulition that had a good smell to it.I dont want to promote a business with a smelly stuff..Thanks

25 Free tans is a lot. I choose a few ppl that I knew that would be good at promoting and I tan them and they spread the word. The more ppl they get the more free tans they get. I have a personal trainer at a gym, my sister works at a popular resturant, high schoolers, etc. I also offer 5 referals = free tan. The best way is to hit up all the local salons and market there. Word of mouth is the key!

Word of mouth is the best. You could offer one at regular price and spray a friend for 1/2 off. Helps spread the word two at a time.

I would agree that 25 tans is a lot. I would say def hit the schools, local salons, see if there are any free ad sites (like craigslist or post something on your facebook or myspace account). Always get referrals and offer a discount or a free tan based on a certain number of referrals (like the other person said 5 is a good number). Word of mouth is key. Send e-mails to friends and family and ask them to pass it on to anyone who may be interested. Talk to everyone and anyone. See if any local pizza places or things like that will let you leave business cards. Look for those smaller "free" papers they usually have inexpensive Ads you can post.

ok Thanks guys...what about the good soulition to start with? looking for something that has a good smell to it..does anyone know about fragrent drops..will it effect the soulition?

I use Breeze and I get the solution with the Lemongrass smell. I have had numerous ppl say they really like the smell. I wouldn't mind finding out more on fragrence drops though. I didn't know they made those.

A newer way to promote is to jump on the myspace, facebook, and tweeter (sp!) band wagons...

Start business profiles on these sites and start friend requesting... younger women (20s-30's) are big on these sites.

For my business that I am getting rolling again I am going to use these websites and offer $5.00 off of any service once a month if you keep me in your top friends.

I plan on just at random times monthly checking people's profiles and if I'm in their "top friends" I will send them a coupon.

I've had to research these websites extensively and the most common profile that exists on myspace and facebook is that of a woman, who is single, between 18-27, and has a public profile.

I just think free advertising through these sites is a great idea.

Everyone should have a $0.00 marketing budget. And deciding your discounts is up to you. Just don't come right off the bat with really low prices because your clientele may only be able to afford the discounted prices. Slight discounts would be best.
