Rep Power: 0 | Does anyone spray dance troupes, cheerleaders, etc? I have the opportunity to spray a pretty large dance troupe on what could be a weekly basis, likely in exchange for advertising. However I feel like I have to charge something to cover my product costs and time as it will take at least 3-4 hours to spray 30 girls. Does anyone else spray large groups and if so what kind of deal do you have worked out to make it worth your while? |

If they have programs or can make anouncements during events I would do it really cheap. Another thing to try is have them sell spray tan certificates for you and for every so many they get thier tan for free. But 30 girls weekly you really would need to charge them something You will atleast use up 1/2 gallon of solution per week just on them. You might want to do monthly packages for them paid in advance of course. When we did the last large group it was a one time thing. I think we charge them less than half of the normal fee for it. I would find out exactly what is in it for you. Depending on where you live you can get the local paper to run an article about them and that you spray them. This could be really huge for you. I wish you bunches of luck.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Does anyone spray dance troupes, cheerleaders, etc? I own a cheer team and i spray them for events for free. they only take me up on the offer about 25% of the time. I get to have my info on the website and the girls talk about the salon. I have never gotten one customer from it. We have done tons of pr recently for your tryouts and the when i mention the salon, it always gets cuts from news segments and articles. I would not spray the girls if i did not own the team. not enough roi |

Here is my Dilemma, I have been spray tanning for a few months professionally. I sprayed several months free for training. I am no where near where I want to be in confidence nor technique wise. I have build up 11 clients that tan every single week for the past few months. And the people I do for free keep coming back. So even if I don't think Im great at it, I cant be that horrible. I have been given a contract to tan approx. 30 to 50 people a week. It is with a company. The company will pay half for their employees, They are bar attendees and want a certain look I guess. Anyway, I have not been able to purchase any extenders lotions body wash to try them out. I was waiting until I saved up cash and start checking them out. Now I have no time. This will begin in a week or so. I know we are not supposed to post brands but if someone can pm me what they use I would be great full. I also tried only a few solutions before I decided to go with TBT Revive. Everyone likes it but I want them to LOVE it. I wish it was darker. I used a 9. And I'm afraid to use the 11. It still takes me 20min to tan someone using a spray gun. That includes putting barrier cream on nails and wrist area and toe nails and heels only. That takes 30sec. Then I blot them. Any tips? Ok this went way to long..... Thank you to any who can help. This site is great. God Bless PS Be kind to the newbie... :) |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Does anyone spray dance troupes, cheerleaders, etc? That sounds reassuring. I thought I was taking too much time. Mysharona you have helped me out by me reading your posts. So thank you. Yes this opportunity fell into my lap. I would not have gone out and seek it until I thought I was ready. My husband on the otherhand Thinks because he sprayed me once and said "this is EASY" that I should be just making crazy amounts of money fast. Cause its easy...hahahaha.... I didnt tell him That I had spots and orange cause he used 8oz on me. it looked horrible. But of course the good wife I am I told him he did a great job. :) Did you sell products to them? Have they asked you for them? I can only do the tans three days a week. If I have 40 lets say avg a week just with this client, That will take me about 6 to 7 hrs a day to do them right? at 30 min each. Im not good at math. Thats without a break. I don't have a fan yet. As I only do one client at a time with lots of time inbetween. My tent has an opening but I'm afraid of adding the fan and spray gets threw. Is that stupid to think that? I'm sure its ok as everyone else uses them. I wear a mask but I am going to have to get a fan. Any suggestions? |

I purchased a fan from Home Depot and then I turned it backwards, I covered the back with a washable "cutable(sp)/sizeable" filter (also at Home Depot) and used two sided tape to attach it to the back. When you turn the fan on (blowing side away from client) it pulls overspray onto the filter. At the end of your day, session, whichever, you simply detach, wash with warm water & regular liquid soap, shake dry and re-attach. It has worked great! I am planning on upgrading to a more advanced mobile booth (includes fans), that is currently being created, but since it isn't available yet, I make this work!! 8 oz.???!!!! I would have told my husband that he made me look like a Oompa Lompa (or whatever they're called LOL). You're a sweet wife. He is right about one thing, if you stay on the path you're on you will make a lot of money, I am a living testimony to that!! Wishing you the Best of Luck! | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Does anyone spray dance troupes, cheerleaders, etc? Thanks for the info. I have been eying Sunmist. I will give them a try. I will use your fan tip. When I add the fan do I, zip it open put fan inside tent and zip back up tightly to where only the cord is sticking out? or do I place fan outside of tent and try to place it perfectly so no spray goes over it? If thats even possible? I'm sorry, I know Im asking alot of questions. I don't want to mess up this great opportunity. Thanks again and again. |
