I'm not real sure that would be a look you wanna go for! But you do what you have to do sometimes! I think the reason your fan was such a mess is because you had it inside the tent instead of outside. If you have it on the outside it will not be nearly as messy with solution all over the fan.
Oh thanks so much for the reply. Yeah I will try placing it outside the tent next time and maybe I can attach fabric or something, I will have to play with it. Not sure cardboard is the look for me...lol!

Re: Do I need an Extraction Fan

I agree that an extraction fan is a must. I have had my mobile business for over a year and stay pretty busy. I use the brown tent with the windows from TBT as well and have had no problems with it. As far as my fan, I have it inside the tent so there is nowhere else that overspray can go.
I have been through many fans because of how disgusting they become from the overspray. I have started my business on my own and have learned on the way. I purchased a standard 20x20 box fan and took it apart and painted it to match my tent. Then I attatched a 20x20 furnace filter with two zip ties so that it was connected very tight to the side of the fan that blows air.
This system has worked well for me. I wipe it down with a baby wipe before packing up all my stuff to head out.

So the filter is actually closet to the back of the tent, or is the filter closet to the person you are spraying?

The filter is facing the back of the tent.

Re: Do I need an Extraction Fan

Question. The filter that you have attached to the fan with zip ties? How do u clean the filter? does it pull out somehow? Trying to get a visual? I am about to possibly do a trade show and some client spray issues this winter couldn't spray any clients because I was afraid to do it INSIDE their homes and was inquiring about extraction fans? I used to use an air cleaner a little machine but I dont think its gonna cut it anymore?

Re: Do I need an Extraction Fan

I use a disposable filter that I throw away when it gets to dirty or too ruffed up from going in and out of my car. I will try and post a picture soon, if I can.

B!
Everybody has their own point of view. I really don't think you need two fans. Check out airbrush spray tan video on our site. I built this spray room and installed only one fan.

That was a good video cfine31. How long does it take you to do a full body spray tan ?
