Rep Power: 0 | What to do? I sprayed this girl yesterday and as I was spraying her I noticed that she was already getting blotchy. I am almost positive that it some type of self tanning product that she had used before. She said that she exfoliated ALOT! but i dont think she got it all off. I called her today to see how her tan was and she said that it was blotchy!! I told her giver her %50 off her next tan. I think she was happy. so I just wanted to know A) what would you do in this situation B) how do you get old self tanning stuff off? Thanks !! |

It may have left a residue on the skin that did not allow for the spray tan to adhere correctly. If she was blotchy before you sprayed her, she may have just came out with a darker version of an already bad tan. I would want to see her- so that you can make a good judgment call for yourself. |

Over the years i have had a few of the younger clients come in with a lotion based orange kinda tan that came from a bottle at the drug store. When they come in their looking for a "fix" !! I've seen too many well meaning folks try to help and end up being blamed for the problem they tried to "fix". I simply state that i can not "fix it" ! If you do attempt to remedy their problem it often then becomes your problem. The same goes for botched hair color, botched dept. store perms, ect... |

Re: What to do? you would think blitchign too hs somethign to do with not matchign the skin color properly. going to dark. Exfoliating of course! but i seem to find if i Drop the color to a light light to fill it in by the time teh blotch falls off so will teh lightest color. cause it doesnt last very long. But yes man some peeps i can't get them to understand you HAVE to exfoliate. But a problem i have is faces not lasting long enough. or the tan in general not lasting long enough. if they do one tan a week. | |
