How to condence info into the top five key points of spray tanning/airbrush tanning

I am new to this and have found that even though I feel that I have done alot of research on the subject I am having a bit of difficulty when asked the question: Tell me about spray tanning. I don't know if I should go into the entire discovery and use of DHA, etc. (of course I don't know the ENTIRE discovery process, just the basics that I have read!)

What do you think the top 5 key points are to hit on when trying to sell and describe the spray tanning process to a customer who has never done it. What should absolutely be mentioned and what is the least important.

I don't mind taking the time to describe what I have found so far, but I don't think they want the full education on it. They just want a short version of the important things!

As professions, in your own opinions can you rate what is most important to least important when trying to win over a new customer who may be afraid of the spray tan process.

It's also different when speaking with different age groups. Older want to know more, in my opinion on skin changes, damage etc, but they also just qustion you to see if you know what your talkin about. They may not know the right answers, but they want to hear that you sound like you know what your talking about!

The younger girls just wanna hurry up and do it. They do not want a long explanation of how it works, different issues for different skins, ect. They want a fast explanation and get the show on the road.

So different age groups want different information. Can you rate what the important issues are from most important to least important for the age groups?

Help is appreciated. I am trying to develop a sales pitch to present in an informed, short way to the different age groups!! Spray Tanning seems to be a little taboo around here. How can I change that???

I don't think a long explaination is as important as you may think. I think the BEST way to sell your spray tan, is to be spray tanned yourself. Then you become a walking advertisement for your product & they can see the wonderful color of your tan.

Re: How to condence info into the top five key points of spray tanning/airbrush tanni

I'm so bad to always give TOO much detail... People usually just want quick, basic facts. I don't think I would go into all the detail about how it was discovered, etc.. Some, if not most customers, probably aren't that interested in ALL the details like "how it was discovered" and so on. They just trust that you know. And they just want a "tan". Now, some of the ones, like you said "the older group", I might mention that it has been around for sometime now so they'll know it wasn't just discovered yesterday; I would mention the time that it takes the DHA to develop, how long to wait to get wet (showers, rain, sweating, etc); how important it is to exfoliate (before spray tan) and moisturize after. But I would definitely research as much as possible so you will have the info and knowledge to maybe help persuede those certain undecided customers. I agree w/ Kbaker.. One of the best advertisements is for you to be sprayed so they can see the wonderful outcome.

-Takes 60seconds,
-Our booth sprays you in all 4 positions for best all around tan (front, back and each of your sides)
-Takes 4-6hours to develop and you've got yourself an awesome tan in 1 session.

If you want the best tan, try our Tanning Cocktail, HP tan and a Spray tan for $50!

Re: How to condence info into the top five key points of spray tanning/airbrush tanni

the most important things to know i say..
When i get done spraying you there is a cosmetic layer the dha will kick in you will get darker over the hours. when you take your first hsower the cosmetic layer rinses off(so they don't think ther ewashing it all way) Just rinse your skin wiht mild wash. pat your skin with towel don't rub...then...."Im only coloring your top layer of skin so as your skin exfoliates off so will your tan...so make sure to stay moisturized......
I always express how important exfoliating is before the tan so they haev a nice fresh layer. and to watch their tan over the next few days let me know what happens.. everything is fixable. on my end adn theirs. so i make notes for them. it seems like alot but takes only a few minutes...they like to here that ....

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

I would advise to read your terms and conditions with respect to the warranty on he equipment you buy. Some agreements sate that if you use other products in the system then the warranty and service is void.
