Rep Power: 16 | Re: solution smell I was sprayed with the Norvell solution and I have to admit I noticed the smell for 2 days (and yes, I DID shower ;) ). It wasn't unpleasant but there definitely was an additional smell to my skin. It didn't kick in right away - probably 4 hours or so after getting sprayed. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: solution smell IMO, adding scents to the solution will only mask a stinky smell or provide you with the fragrance of choice until you shower. The real problem is the smell that is left on the skin after the shower and after the tan is developed. For me, it last about 2-3 days and I hate it. It's definitely not enough to make me stop tanning but it does suck. This is gross ...but... I always feel like the smell is coming from under my arms. Am I crazy or does anybody else think that.... or am I just stanky..lol. Maybe it's some reaction with sweat and dha ??? Also, sometimes it's more noticeable than others... can't figure out why. And, I believe the smell is more noticeable on some more than others. I have some people tell me they notice no smell at all. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: solution smell I have never had a complaint of an odor, EVER. When I used cheap drugstore self tanners I did notice an odor. I use to use Breeze and now a formula from body bronze products out of San Diego for my spray solution . Although the breeze was unscented... still had no odor in my opinion. The one from BBP has a light scent added, and def. no 'tanner stank' there. I am prego and I def. think it would bother me, it seems my sniffer is extra sensitive these days ;) I thought that companies added odor neutralizers to get rid of the DHA smell... I guess some do better jobs than others??? |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: solution smell I can smell it with every solution I've ever tried... Breeze, Cali Tan, Mystic, Vani t , Biddiscombe, Scentual Sun, Aviva, Pure Sunless and probably some others along the way. Some are worse than others and on some people it's worse than others. I've used all these on my "models"... aka guinea pigs... my husband, mom, cousin and bf and myself. All of us, except my cousin think there has been some level of smell associated with each of these. Also, I sprayed a girl that does a pilates class with me. Two days later in class our teacher asked the client if I had spray tanned her because she could smell her. I could not smell it and neither could the client. I cannot figure out a rhyme or reason to this or how to fix it. |
