Rep Power: 0 | DHA Drops! I have searched the sunless forum and haven't a clue as to what I need to do. So, any helpful advice is greatly appreciated! I use Norvell Regular & Dark solution for my HVLP system. I have several tanners who are very very dark and the Norvell Dark just doesn't cut it. I don't want to coat it on thick as the skin will only absorb so much of the solution anyways. I would like to try drops that will increase their results, but that are not just a topical bronzer.

Rep Power: 20 | Re: DHA Drops! I would use it in the Dark not the Medium. The reason for this is because it will have a higher amount of Eurithlose in it (to counter act the orange that DHA can sometimes give) I would go very lightly meaning 1-2 drops per 2 oz . ANy more than that you will have client looking like Umpa Lupas. The skin can only take in so much dha before it rebels and turns orange. I would mix it as needed. At most I might mix up about 8 oz for the clients write thier name on it and make a really big deal about thier "Special Blend" As for charging more for it, most likely I would unless the are a wonderful regular customer. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: DHA Drops! something else I might suggest is if the company you get your solution from has a higher dha solution try that. say they have a 5% and a 9% buy both and mix the 2 to get a 7%. I would also ask the salesman you get your solution from how many drops they suggest. Listen to them they really should know what they are talking about. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: DHA Drops! I'm interested in this too. Norvell is 6% and since a boatload came with the purchase of the machine, I have a lot of it ;) I've ordered some sample 10 and 12% (full solutions, not drops) from a different company that I'm going to try but I'd like to be able to alter the Norvell if at all possible. Does anyone know the ratio of what 1-2 drops of pure DHA does to a 2 oz solution , i.e. if it's 6% and I add 1 drop per 2 oz, what does that make it? And how much euthyrlose to add to this drop and where would I purchase it? I really think that once I get the spray tanning figured out it's going to be a big seller. I am the only salon in both locations that offers it. My employee at salon 1 (the only one I legally own now) was trained with me - and actually is the one who sprayed me, lol - and I'm offering her $5 per spray tan she performs since I won't always be there. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: DHA Drops! To my knowledge, I don't think there are erythrulose drops. It would make sense that they would come together in drop form, wouldn't it? I just heard from my rep that one two drops of dha won't hurt the solution , as long as everything is ph balanced (including the drops). Just don't overdo it or the result will have a orange cast to it. I just ordered drops this evening, that is why I am so enlightened all of the sudden;) We will see! |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: DHA Drops! It is just DHA in the drops and to my knowledge the two together in drop form doesn't exist. I was just saying it would make sense wouldn't it? Here is little info on erythrulose... "In one study, volunteers treated with a DHA/Erythrulose solution were copmared to others treated with the DHA solution alone. Erythrulose in combination with DHA produced a more even and longer lasting tan without the undesired streaks. The skin treated with the combination solution was 30% less dry than those treated with DHA alone. The maximal tanning intensity was reached with the Erythrulose after 4-6 days and with DHA after 2 days. Due to this slower reaction and to its more uniform distribution in the outer skin, Erythrulose is believed to to be responsible for a more uniform, even, and longer lasting tan. In summary, Erythrulose in combination with DHA may produce a deep, uniform and natural skin tan without undesired streaks. Thanks to its retardation effect, Erythrulose prolongs the tan and leaves the skin less dry." I am sure there is some sort of reason why they are not in drop form together, but wouldn't that be something if they were! |
