Question about my spray gun....

This might be obvious but i'm going to ask, and iv been playing around with it to see what the difference is, but i just dont know what might be better. I have an HVLP system and on the gun, you know how there is that screw thing that you screw off to take the needle out and clean it? well if i screw that tighter it seems to make the pressure a bit harder, and the handle is tighter the tighter the screw is. Its weird, if i spray myself it seems easier and better when the screw is really tight, but spraying my husband and others its always loose....what do you guys do??

Re: Question about my spray gun....

So no one knows how that screw being tight or loose has an affect on the spray?

Re: Question about my spray gun....

You just love that Infinity Sun : ) lol Oh well i guess i'll just mess around with it and see if i can figure out whats changing in my gun. I called about the starter kit for the infinity sun. Its just a lot to invest when i'm not hearing that many good things about it, and when my equipment is working wonders, i'm afraid to mess that up. By not hearing many good things, i dont mean i'm hearing a lot of bad things, just the few comments are that its orange and i just would like to hear good things about it.

Re: Question about my spray gun....

Most people are going as cheap as possible. The Infinity Sun Spa is not for them I see it in higher end spas and salons mostly. Yes I do like it because I can train my employees relatively easy with it. I've never had a complaint about color and the repeat business is what speaks the most about it.

Have you ever spoken with Paul Jagear at Scentual Sun? He's so helpful and so nice to talk to. He helped me out so much and I appreciated every second of his time. :)

Re: Question about my spray gun....

I have not called Scentual Sun...i may check them out. Its obvious i'm young (22) soi can not buy my own equipment, but i have talked to my dad who helped me get all started and he just REALLY wants to know if the Infinity Sun would be worth the investment, because it was easy to cover my start up cost (tent, system, solutions, business cards, brochures, etc.) but $4500....that could take a few months...about how long did it take you?

Re: Question about my spray gun....

Hey Glow-
The tighter the screw is in, the less solution is coming out of the gun and the less you can squeeze the handle... the looser the screw is the more solution comes out. I usually loosen it 1/2 to 1 full turn. If you still have the directions all that should be covered in there. :o)

Re: Question about my spray gun....

Do you mean at the front or the back of your gun?

Re: Question about my spray gun....

the back part of the gun....the font part changes the direction of spray. I noticed i cant squeeze the handle as much but i now know the solution flow is less when the screw is tighter yay thanks. so is that a good thing? you tighten yours all the way then unscrew 1/2 to 1 full turn?
