Rep Power: 16 | Home Depot sprayer (I'm not kidding...) So I finally bought the salon and go to go through everything. I wish I could find a starving tannorexic who needed dozens and dozens of discontinued samples/full sizes! Anywhoo - their airbrush sprayer is actually a compressor bought from Home Depot with a line to the (professional) airbrush completely with adjustable nozzle and small bottle - again, I suspect HD for most of it, maybe Michaels for the sprayer/bottle. I plan on giving away SEVERAL for free to try and make this work, but had anyone else done this? I'm tossing all the lotions so any advice on good solutions for all kinds of skin would be great. Since it's such a chincy looking sprayer, I wouldn't mind spending a little extra on the solutions :) Last edited by Woodlands; 08-02-2008 at 07:33 AM. Reason: Late at night - they were NOT buying solution at HD! |

Don't throw away the sample give them away as part of a free tan weekend or something (as long as they are not gross), do crazy specials and give away tanning, research this and you will see you will clear 2-3 grand during slow season, 5-8 during season. |

In fact many people get taken for buying these systems when you can get everything A LOT cheaper from home depot and an art supply house. Our spray booth used a HUGE compressor from Lowe's. The tech had to go pick one up locally as part of assembly.

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Home Depot sprayer (I'm not kidding...) i agree, unless they are gross dont throw away. use them for incentive purchases. free lotion sample with single visit or free lotion sample with upgrade or use them for the opening as free gifts there is a lot u can do with them. if you have full size bottles try free week with select lotion purchase for $XX free lotion with purchase of 2 months for $XX be creative, but whatever u do with it will be near 100% profit because it was free to you. Good luck. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Home Depot sprayer (I'm not kidding...) The lotions are 2-3 years old - do they not have a shelf life? I plan on doing A LOT of freebies to get started. Today was my first "real day" there and I spent it gathering all the old samples (some stuff they don't even sell any more) and marking everything $2. If I had a ton of one kind, I'd stick them in plastic pots for $1. Actually got some good sales :) I bought some newer lotions last week and I'm placing another smaller order Monday. Lotion sales are TINY there so I'm really pushing them and gave the only employee a commission. SO FAR I've hit the jackpot with her. She's creative, clean, and can work whatever hours I need her even if they're weird ones. She's perfect. Which means she's probably an ax murderer. |
