Rep Power: 0 | White spots I have noticed lately that when I am spraying someone I will see white spots where it looks like the solution isn't absorbing. What is this? It never is a problem after the first shower and the tan looks even but I want my first impression to be better. Can someone help? |

It's very common, the white spots are small yeast deposits on the skin that act as a super sunblock so the skin there turns white. It's most common on the upper body (coming from the hair) but I have it on my legs. Cures: You can ask your doctor for generic Lamisil (about $5) or you can use lamisil cream which is available at walgreens etc. (store brand now available). OR - I've heard you can put "Selsum Blue" on your skin and leave it for a minute before rinsing. After talking to my pharmacist we decided to try "Nizoral", another dandruff shampoo, as it contains an anti-fungal as the actve ingredient. I thought it wouldbe easier to bathe in it that put on a cream & I wasn't into the pill option which honestly sounds like the best aproach. Your pharmasicist should be able to help you more. Good luck. PS: I learned this as the 3rd lesson in tanning class. I was told it takes a good month for it to clear up either way. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: White spots Very true indeed. Not the answer for sunless. But I have been seeing the same problem and it appears [for me] mostly on the lower leg. I thought it might have something to do with shaving, since it's summer and some women might shave more [too much]? I've asked a couple of clients if they use the kind of razor that has a "strip" of something on it that turns gooey after a while. But clients get all freaky when you ask them about shaving because they don't want to "get the answer wrong" or something ('what, me? shave? no - never!) and I never find out what connection these people have. I added a portable a/c unit to help take extra moisture out of the air if it's humid, but alas, not the cure. My spray tans used to be pretty close to perfect. Now, I start off with the feeling of complete dread. And pain, since I developed a Ganglion Cyst on my wrist from doing spray tans . God help me. If it ain't one thing, it's six-hundred and ninety-seven. |
