I come from a massage therapist background of 12 years so it's all just bodies to me. I am very seasoned at making people feel at ease and present myself as the nurturing expert. One thing i do with new clients is lead them thru the 'poses' and explain what to expect in detail and ask them if they have any questions or concerns. I may lose clients here and there because of my gender, but I find a lot of people who are willing to get a tan aren't the most modest types anyway. When you're good, you're good, and word of mouth has given me tons of massage clients that would have never dreamed of going to a guy before. Then they try me and they're sold. The AB tanning business is no different. I see it as a challenge.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Men applying spray tans? To start - I am doing this for my gf and possibly some friends men and women. I am a guy and some of the women I talk to want a good tan, yes they are concerned about a guy spraying because they dont want to feel like they are being hit on, checked out etc. But some also say they would consider a guy sprayer because most women who spray are in better shape than them all round and feel more insecure infront of a women than they would a man. I have no experience with this but I know how to run a business, I know a lot about spray equipment and how to spray cars and everything in between and have been doing my homework. From what I see .. women sell it to favor them, and men sell it to favor them ... I know as a guy I would sell it in my favor. It's sad to know there would be guys out there who are perverts. I guess its expected tho, most guys are I guess. I would never want to put myself at risk if I took this to a business level. I would recommend on a 3rd person in the room. Boyfriend, Husband, Friend, Parent or whoever else. I have a few girls right now that would be interested in me spraying the tan just because they know I can paint good and they are soooooo scared of having someone not spray them properly. |

Re: Men applying spray tans? If you can come across in the right way and make the customer feel comfortable and act as a pro....absolutely no problem in males spray tanning females | |
