Re: Introduction
Teaming up with the cheerleading or Drill team squad it a wonderful promo. They are always having fund raisers. Have them sell Spray tan passes for you. Give them a % of the sales. All you need to do is spray them real cheap or free the first time. Teen girls will not be able to keep thier mouths shut about it.

Re: Introduction
Hi Steph,
I am also a Make-up Artist. Where did you go to School? I have done NY and Hollywood and of course Seminars. What brands do you use? I also have moved from the big city, due to my husbands job, for 2 years. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK!! But I flew up for fashion week and am having great introduction to the area and the Curcuit here. I started doing tanning to add more to my services and it is going Okay. Due to business license board I missed prom season, but did girls who knew about me thru the college to which I tutor. Good Luck!! D |

Re: Introduction
Always nice to talk to fellow MUAs. I have worked in So Cal, Denver and now-rural Minnesota. I've done workshops and worked with other artists. I've repped for different cosmetic lines. I use a lot of different brands...I'm always on the lookout for what works best...right now I'm looking for a great face and body liquid bronzer(no rub).
I'd love to do fashion week. I have little kids now so I'm limited on my traveling. So far I love the sunless tanning aspect to my business. Steph K |

Re: Introduction
Steph, check with your states cosmetology board and make sure you can charge for make up application with out a license. I know in cali you need a license (estheticians)...I was a counter manager for a large cosmetics company and thought I would offer make up application at the salon as an add on and found out I can do make up for free, but am not allowed to charge for it. I can do spray tanning with no problem though. =)
welcome!
