Promoting Mobile Spray

Alright guys I was wondering what you have done to promote your mobile spray tan business'

I am designing window graphics for my car windows
as well as sending out postcards to my area.

What info would you include on either of those other than your phone number and business name?

what other things have you done that have worked for promoting and starting up your mobile spray tan business??

Thanks

Re: Promoting Mobile Spray

Try to get some beauty salons to help promote for you. Offer a free spray tan for every 4? people they send your way. Team up with the local drill team and cheerleaders spray them and you will have free pubilicity. You can also get them to sell spray tanning passes for you and they get so much per pass sold. They are alway looking for new fundraiser ideas around here.

Re: Promoting Mobile Spray

Do you have a website? Some people might just search on the internet for a mobile spray tan in their area and not look in a phone book. You can always put your web address on your business cards as well. I am looking into getting the magnets for my car with my logo and website and phone number. So when ever you are driving around town you are advertising. I found one from magneticsignsontime.com for $64 for 2 signs, that seemed reasonable to me. Also try hooking up with wedding coordinators to do bachlorette parties and/or wedding parties.

Re: Promoting Mobile Spray

I always ask my customers how they found me and 95% did an internet search. I tried moneymailer, postcards marketing (vistaprint.com), flyers, car sticker and nothing works better than the internet and word-of-mouth.

This year I plan on placing a listing in the Yellow Pages and that will be my only marketing expense, in addition to my website.

Re: Promoting Mobile Spray

Before I started spraying real clientele I didn't know how I was going to go about promoting. I printed 1000 full color flyers (vistaprint.com) for like $190. Put them on car windshields at BBgames / Dorms / Apt Complexs & simply had the girls hand them out.

Not 1 person said "Oh, I saw a flyer on my car and called". Now, i'm glad I have them because they're good for local business to put up on bulletin boards and give to clients that want them however that was NOT effective marketing.

I'm with everyone else. Internet.

Google AdWords after 3 days..

Google Analytics when I first started..I think this was a 7 day period.

You need to try and get your name on as many other sites but your own as you can. Free bride forums in your area, wedding sites, limo sites (partner up and exchange links).. Things like that. Target ONLY your area or it won't be worth it.

Hope this helps a little..

Re: Promoting Mobile Spray

another good idea - I also teach and this is teacher appreciation week. I had in my mailbox yesterday a small gift bag with a piece of candy, a small sample size of Satin Hands, and a gift card for $20 off products with a free facial. This was given to every teacher by a Mary Kay salesperson. I'm going to take this idea and change it to fit spray tanning parties and have it to the teachers by the end of the school year. Not only will I place them in our teachers' boxes, but also other schools. Take advantage of worn out teachers that are ready to do something for themselves. Summer's coming and they are ready to look and feel good!!!
