All they will have to do is open the valve in the CO2 tank, plug in the spray guns and spray away. The guages on a CO2 tank lock down with a screw so you set it and forget it without the chance of the pressure guage moving around...which Ive had happen lol. I was in the other room and I thought to myself "that spray sounds awfully intense" I went and looked at it and she had bumped the pressure regulator and was shooting out at like 50psi when it should be around 30-35 haha. there was overspray everywhere. In the long run (like 3-4 years) the CO2 will be more expensive because of the refil costs but a 10lb aluminum tank is much lighter than a good compressor that is needed to run a good quality HVLP gun. I will only use the CO2 for portable parties and whatnot though. I will still spray out of the house with a normal compressor. I am also building a vent system similar to the portable booths that have the overspray collectors.. Those magical filters are just normal electrostatic filters that can be bought in almost any size imaginable online starting around $50. hook it up to a $35 box fan to suck the solution through the filter and you have an overspray collection system :) Its a good idea but not worth $3000 in my opinion.... Im going to hook one up to the pop up tent I already have and see how it works. Ill post pics on that too for anyone that is interested. |

Re: Fantasy Tan
Back to the original question...Kstar, I have the Fantasy Tan system and love it. I've used several systems and solutions and FT offers more than ANY system. The on site training is priceless. 9 solutions from light to ethnic dark. Price is 3900.00. Good Luck!

Re: Fantasy Tan
I think Blondie uses their system also. She posted before and after pics on he website that she gave us the link to. The color looks really good.
I use a $300 Turbo Tan hvlp that I got on ebay. I think the results are fantastic and it's so easy and fast. I would love to try a "higher end" system and see if I'm missing out on something. Has anybody ever used the Turbo Tan and then switched to a more expensive unit? Any differences? |

Re: Fantasy Tan
KSTAR,
Tell me how your parties went...How many tanners? Did you include anything else besides tanning? Did you offer any products to sell? If so, did you do sell any? I am gearing up to prepare for my first party. I'm very anxious to get that first one over and done with! =0) I'm looking for any pointers beforehand. Thanks! |

Re: Fantasy Tan
Not to tell you your business... just a few things to think about!
#1. CO2 cylinders feeze up when used at high output... such as used in spray tanning. #2. At high output they will not last anywhere near as long as you are thinking. #3. Low volume spray rigs like an airbrush are very inferior to the hvlp that everyone else is using nowdays. #4. The blast of ice cold CO2 will cause the skin to dimple up and leave small white dots on the client. #5. It would be very uncomfortable for the client... so spend a few bucks for a professional system... your future clients are truely worth it. #6.The biggest reason is the saftey issue... transporting compressed cylinders is a bad idea from the get go. Imagine if the cylinder falls over... the cylinder could become a powered torpedo. Or a rupture in the car... Most places have very strict regs. about the size and they must always be chained upright to something solid. I am only tying to be helpful here.. not hurtful at all. Trust me a small quite hvlp system is the very best way to go. |
