I hope this is not the wrong place to ask questions, as I don't own or work at a tanning establishment. I was directed here after a search on google, try to find information.
I live in MO but currently work in Afghanistan. My wife and I are taking a trip to Orient Beach in St. Martin this July. I will only be home from overseas for about 2 days, so I was wanting to get an airbrush tan before going on vacation. My first question is that we are going to a nude beach while we are there and I want an all over tan, but from what I have read on the internet most places want men to wear shorts. Is that common? Also how will sunbathing and swimming constantly effect the tan? Thank you in advance, Nathan A. |

Re: Airbrush..then Caribbean
Most places will require you to wear boxers. If you go where a male will do the airbrush it may not matter. Some will let you get away with a sock or thong (not here). Yes the more you swim bathe etc. the quicker it will fade. You might want to get minimal sun to build your own base tan as the cosmetic tan fades. Remember your costmetic tan doesn't protect you from sunburn.

Re: Airbrush..then Caribbean
Thank you for the response. Normally when working at home I tan regularly to keep a base. Unfortunately I don't have the option while in Afghanistan..other than a good ol' farmers tan, lol. I will only be home for 2 days before flying out to St. Martin so I thought this would be the best option, but really don't wont tan lines if possible. But I totally understand ladies not wanting to look at guys nude all the time and spray their "junk".
Again thank you, Nathan A. |

Re: Airbrush..then Caribbean
Nathan you should protect all of your mucous membranes when you get a cosmetic tan and it's applied by spray method.

Re: Airbrush..then Caribbean
Thank you guys for the info. Hopefully the tan will last long enough to get a little color from laying out. Reference the booths...I have read they can be prone to running? But something is better than nothing. I have an email into a local shop and see if they will spray me. I have even offered to have my wife there so she would not think I was going to be weird. We will see what happens.
Thanks and keep the info coming. Nathan A. Last edited by NathanA; 04-15-2008 at 11:53 AM. Reason: edited to add "not" weird, lol |
