Mystic Vs. Airbrush

I am new to tanning and have done the mystic several times, but recently saw an ad for airbrush tanning for about the same price. I like the mystic because I don't have to worry about tan lines, is this even an option for air brush? If not, what do you usually wear so your clothes don't get ruined?

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

I don't require my female clients to wear anything. I do require that my male clients wear something. Everyone is different though, so your best bet would be to call and find out! I do think you will like the airbrush tanning better though. All of my clients do!

Thanks for the advice, sounds like the air brush is the way to go.

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

I personally would never do an airbrush . Posing naked in funny positions in front of a stranger? No thank you. Mystic is fast, easy, & private. If you're happy with it, why not stick with it?

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

I think I will try the airbrush just to see what it is like since it is the same price. It seems like a custom tan would come out better than one done by a machine. I called ahead, and they said they are very professional, and will tan anybody with as much or as little clothing as they are comfortable with.

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

After doing airbrush on so many people I can tell you the biggest difference I see. Every part of your body is treated the same in a booth. Often while customizing a spray tan I move away and closer to ther person depending on how dry/oily their skin is in different parts. You are going to get a nicer even tan by having someone do it that can visually see how the solution is laying on your skin.

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

If you are using any type of cosmetic tan I would suggest asking for nose filters as well...especially in a booth.

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

Do you have to close your eyes, or put anything on your hair when you do an air brush? Also, when you get done do they air dry you at all so you are not so sticky?

Re: Mystic Vs. Airbrush

we supply makeup remover, baby wipes, deoderant, chapstick, hair covers, winkeze, disposable undergarments and nose filters. we have them use their chapstick then instruct them to take a wet wipe and wipe their lips off after their airbrush session. we have two body fans in the room and offer a 5 minute standup tan to help set the lotion and dry them quicker....you just don't want them to sweat so 5 mins. max.
